      How Much Melatonin should I take?

      Many supplemental melatonin users have reported an increase in vivid dreaming. Extremely high doses of melatonin (50mg) dramatically increased REM sleep time and dream activity in both narcoleptics and those without narcolepsy
      However on the bottle it says don't take more than 3mg a day...

      I is confused

      What do y'all find works best?

      I took 20 pills, 60mg of melatonin. Chewed 10 with 4 50mg pills of zoloft. I don't know which pill it was but something made throw up like crazy.

      So yea... don't do what I did or you'll have an unpleasant morning.
      Usually when I try to lucid I take 6. When I try for sleep 4.
      Drink plenty of water.

      I've heard .3mg is all it takes to make you sleepy, I have .5mg pills and after about 15 minutes I get groggy and pass right out. I can't even imagine what 100 times that would do.

      I'd say you may as well try 3mg and see what happens. 50 definitely seems like overkill but who knows. If 3 works for you my guess is it wouldn't be that bad to up the dosage experimentally. I mean look how much B6, galantamine, etc many of the members here are taking. Sometimes it seems we need to push the limits to get the results we want.

      I have taken just 1 5mg pill and have had dreams that were more vivid than usual

      Awesome, I happen to have a bottle full of 3mg tablets...I guess I'll try a couple.
