      My first lucid dream?

      Hey all,

Just wanted to share what I think may have been my first lucid dream. It's kind of a long one for a first, but I thought it was interesting (of course!).

I'm in an urban environment in what seems to be modern times. Most of what happens is near or in a large, mostly square-shaped one-story building with a large parking lot extending in all directions. For some reason, the square's northwest corner is beveled.

I remember walking through the building. It is designed like a school; hallways with rooms branching off of it. I seem to be holding an orange pistol that is similar to the real-life toy Guncon 2. I carefully approach the northern exit through an internal hallway. It's afternoon. I exit the building and see a road perpendicular to me. A car/SUV pulls up to me from the left. The window rolls down, and in the car is a woman driving. In the right back seat is a man, which seems to be the woman's father, and in the left back seat seems to be the man's wife. I walk up to the window.

The driver woman starts saying something to me; I ask her why she's here. The only thing I make out of the response is "...because I can." Meanwhile, a small boy has entered the scene, and the man is out of the car on foot, saying something to the boy. I notice the boy is crying/yelling, and I think the man is the reason, so I confront him and scorn him for upsetting the child. We start arguing. Meanwhile, the car and its passengers disappears. The man, the child, and I start walking counter-clockwise around the building, still arguing about how to treat the child. We reach the west side and enter the building, talking but not really arguing anymore.

While we head through the building (the lights are dim but the interior isn't too dark), we pass through a medium-sized room with a bunch of people in rows sitting in white chairs watching something. We exit the building; the child disappears. (Small lapse in memory) I'm in the parking lot near the building, and there's a car with the man driving and some people, perhaps the ones I saw earlier, in the back. I open the passenger door, and halfway step inside before, for some random reason, I think of the movie Inception.

Suddenly, I realize that I am dreaming.

I sit down in the passenger's seat but think to myself I must stabilize (as I have read about stabilization on this site before). The dream seems to pause while I say, "Stay calm, stay calm" and look at my hands. Strangely, nothing seems blurry or out of focus. When I'm happy, time seems to starts again and we drive off to somewhere. (Small lapse in memory)

It's nighttime now. We approach a building, seemingly the same building as before, but this time there are guards, guard towers/checkpoints, and cameras. For some reason, our objective is to enter the building. We start to plan after our driver pulls into a spot in the parking lot. I suggest that we approach under the cover of darkness, but the moon illuminates the lot. At this point, I wished that my gun had a silencer. I continue by attempting to put out the moon. First, I try licking my finger, bringing it up in front of me, and "rubbing" out the moon. It doesn't work. So instead, I turn around, make some pushing motions and say, "Moon, go away", and turn back around. It's very dark now; my efforts seem to have been successful. I then assert we need night vision goggles, so I imagine a box with 4 NVGs in it, and reach down to get it. It's there, and we take the NVGs.

We step out of the vehicle and start advancing through the parking lot. I notice my "gun" has a silencer on it now. There are a lot of guards, but they don't seem to notice us. Between two cars is a guard loading something. I do some kind of jumping maneuver to the left of him and am about to kill him when my alarm clock wakes me up into a false awakening.

I then wake up again to reality.

I don't know if this was really 100% lucid. After the "Oh, snap! I'm dreaming!" moment, I think I subconsciously decided to go along with the dream's plot. But I did keep in mind that I could do stuff, like putting out the moon. Surprisingly, even though I was excited after I obtained lucidity, the dream wasn't blurry or distorted. Everything seemed the same throughout the dream.

Needless to say, it was an amazing experience, thanks to the information I had previously obtained from this site. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Yea, it sounds like a lucid. As long as at one point you knew you were lucid it was so congrats
