JUST had my first *REAL* Lucid Dream

So I woke up about 5 minutes ago. I had to boot up my laptop and share this with you all!

      ----------

I was walking around my old college with my current girlfriend - it was as if I was giving her a tour of the campus, showing her where I used to hang out, etc. It was quite overcast, cloudy, and cold. Which is should be. It was always cold in October at my college. The odd thing was I already did this with her this past summer, and I wasn't sure why we were doing this again.

There were people on campus bowling at the rec center, just walking around, being themselves. There was a preview on a large TV screen for a new George Clooney outer space movie, as well as posters for industrial music everywhere. Another strange thing was, in my dream, it was October 6th. I remember this clearly - today is October 10th. So in my dream the date was close to the real current date.

I remember thinking of how we would have to drive home soon, which would take about 4 hours. It's a 4 hour trip. Then I began thinking... "I don't remember driving up here."

To get more to the topic of lucidity... we were walking up a staircase to where the football field would be (my college was in upstate New York and really mountainous). As we turned a corner, I saw some epic tornadoes in the distance. They were a little terrifying, as there were so many of them across the landscape. About 7 or 8 I believe, but some of them were quite large and intense. It was a bit scary to be honest. My girlfriend tells me, "Yeah, there's lots of tornadoes up here this time of year."

I'm thinking this is totally not true - so I start looking around, as if I am 'spinning' in place... I start to realize we are not in upstate New York, but in a flatter Kansas type area, although it is still cloudy. I start to realize something is not right.

I grab my girlfriend by the shoulders and I shout, "Holy Shit we are dreaming!" and she is all excited like "No way!"

I start to lose my fear of the tornadoes but they don't go away... but I do see a train passing in the distance. I figure since this is a dream I can run and catch the train, escaping the tornadoes.

I grab my girlfriends hand and we run really fast... but we can't seem to catch the train. I try harder, I grab onto small trees and catapult myself off of them like a ninja, hurling myself forwards. Nothing seems to hurt or bother me, I run over water, grab onto the moving train, flip around it, etc, until I am 'safely' on top of it. My girlfriend does the same, and we are on the train together.

We are sitting there on the train, looking at all the tornadoes... I try to focus more on the dream... but I start to loose lucidly and I wake up...

And here I am posting about it.

      ----------

The past 3 weeks I have cut back on booze, I have began drinking more tea, eating more salads and vegetables, running for exercise, and taking Ginko Biloba and St. Johns Wort all in an effort to Lucid Dream. I think it is finally paying off.
