      Really Strange Experience

Last night, I had this really strange dream that I didn't have much lucidity in. It was kinda of like I kept having nightmares within my dream. I wrote it down, as I've been doing with the dreams I remember for a while now.
      [My dream]:
I woke up from a nightmare, but I don't remember what it was about. I was sweating and scared and my head hurt. I was really shakey, and I didn't want to go back to sleep. I think I was trying to distract myself by reading and writing. I remember falling back asleep and waking up scared again. My yellow folder that I use to draw doodles in was lying next to me. I was in my parents' room at the foot of the bed and they were watching T.V. I don't remember that nightmare either, but I think my cat Mittens was in it. The next day at school, I was tired and by the time it was 8th period, I was about to fall asleep. My friend Matthew started talking about people that had nightmares and couldn't sleep and asked if that was happening to me. Now that I think about it, it kind of seemed like he seemed worried, but I'm not really sure. I said something to him, but I don't remember what.
Then I woke up and the dream ended.

I'm really confused by that dream because it seemed similar to lots of dreams I had before, but then again, it wasn't. It was really creepy how I couldn't remember the nightmares, but I do remember being really scared by them. And in the dream, it seemed like I was experiencing it in a third person point of view.
It was really weird and I want to find out what the meaning of this strange dream is. Any suggestions?

Well whenever I have a night mare it is usually in third person, kinda like watching a movie with me as the star, as for forgetting the nightmares, i cant say much since i tend to always vividly remember mine, and I know the feeling of dreams that seem similar but have a strange feeling to them, its probably that you've had a dream exactly like that or similar to that before, but just dont remember it.
