      Funny reaction from a DC

I was sitting on a toilet in the middle of a room. It was turned towards the wall, and behind me were three people. I was talking to them a little, especially to the one closest behind me. He was acting a little cocky, and asked me if I would do something for him that was illegal. I declined. I got a sudden feeling that I wanted them all to leave, and this is where I turned lucid. I remember having read about how we could influence our dreams and even make DC disappear by willing it. So I simply pointed towards two of the DCs, willing them to disappear and they did instantly. Then I remembered something from the book Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the inner self, which said that we could learn something about ourselves by asking a dream character what they symbolize or represent. So I turned to the third one and asked him, "what do you represent?" When I asked this he looked completely shocked and really scared, and he tried to escape from the room. I followed him and asked him again the same question. Finally he realized that I wouldn't let him leave, so he gave his answer, but I couldn't make it out. Then, because of my sleep being too light at the moment, I lost the dream.

I thought it was funny how this DC reacted, as if being shocked by my sudden awareness of the dream, while before that he was being cocky. Has anyone else experienced a similar reaction from a DC? I had thought he would just simply answer my question, or maybe say nothing.

I almost always confront DC's with whom I converse with the question: "Are you not me?" They never respond, they always look back at me like I already know the answer. When I get lucid, my DC's usually seem to know and accept that they are in a dream. This seems abnormal now that I'm browsing this forum (newcomer!)

Last night... This particular DC was a past significant other in real life, and I began to ask her questions about our relationship. I remember that her answers seemed to hit the question on the nose, or the answers would so precisely bring up a memory of an experience together. I was so surprised by the answers, the crippling truth of the words! The weird thing is, after waking, the few of her answers I could remember seemed completely made up, or seemingly had never happened, even though while I was dreaming I was so shocked by how truthful they seemed.

Finally, after wondering to myself how she could possibly surprise me with answers, I asked her directly: "But this is a dream! Are you not me?" She just looked at me like, "Well, I think you already know the answer." I guess I'm the one who put those words to the expression; in the dream, it was merely a silent stare.
