That's a pretty good start. After years of no lucid dreams, when I started back up again, my "first" lucid dream was completely unformed, so at least you got to move around, think things through a bit, and attempt to stabilize it. My first "flying" lucid dream since I started back up in January, I got 10-20 feet into the air, but I was blown up and down by dream wind, and got woken up by my wife moving around in bed.

At least you got to acknowledge your situation, attempt a grounding technique (which means you're thinking about it on a deeper level), and fought off an initial wave of getting woken up!
