Not my first but certainly my best

and also the reason for me seeking out a forum like this. I've been dabbling in meditation for a few years on and off and last year tried to initiate spirit walking meditation before sleeping. In the last two months I've been trying to WILD (as I learned it's called from here) but only managed sleep paralysis and no actual lucid dreams.

Now in the last week/two weeks I've had two lucid experiences. The first was short lived. I driving a car with friend beside me and someone from my old school in the back with a random girl. I became aware and told the dc's that I was curious if I consciously controlled what they said or if they could act on their own. After a few seconds I decided that flying would be far more fun and took off. Unfortunately the flight was short lived as I took off into the sky and woke up.

Now my more recent endeavor resulted in me becoming aware and deciding not to panic and just fly. I flew from a city top building and over the countryside and landed in a forest bouncing from branch to branch. I decided I wanted a nice atmosphere and was in a cherry blossom tree up in the branches with said tree in bloom.

I then wanted the dream to turn more sinister and found myself slipping through the branches onto the ground and into a trench. Suitably dark and murky. I followed it into a cave which ended in a dark old room covered in cobwebs and dirty windows spilling a dark light over the room. I then decided to see if I could change my body and was able to stretch and expand my arm out in front of me. A DC then jumped out and started a dialog with me just before I woke.

Very happy overall and hopeful I'll be able to expand and create longer and greater Lucid dreams

      Congrats! I envy your success.

You had been attempting WILDs without knowing about them?

Yes but I don't think I became lucid through a WILD. It was a night I was taking a break and became lucid. Very very vivid and a great experience. I tried Yoshi's WILD technique and reached SP way faster than ever before just losing track afterwards but have big hopes for it in the future.

Congrats on the lucid, it sounds like you've got dream control down pretty good!
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
