      First LD!

      Hi all,
just wanted to share that i had my first lucid last night :-)
i was dreaming about something that seemed like being in a film, some kind of rescue thing i think, i can't recall too much of the start, but i ended up on a sea front, on a high sea wall made of big stone blocks. i was looking at teh sea, which was fairly rough. and later i was looking out to sea : there were loads of boats parked out there in lines facing me, like they were in a marina or something but there was no walkways etc. one of the rows of boats had another row of boats ABOVE them, and some of the boats were hovering a foot or so above the water. i said out loud, "FFS, this has got to be a dream!" or something, then seemed to realise that i was in one, so i decided to try and fly. i was looking at the sea way below and thought it might be a bit dangerous in case i threw myself off and couldn't fly, lol, so i tried just over the ground, and seemed to float/swoop no bother, so then i went over the wall and was swooping down to the sea and back up. I lost it at that point, because i was thinking "what do i want to see when i clear the wall?" and i think i confused myself w/ too many suggestions or whatever cos it broke up and i woke.

it was fairly short, but i'm chuffed to bits and i hope that more than anythign else, it's the thing that might help break down that "maybe i can't do it" type of feeling/frustration that might have been holding me back. i'm not expecting a flood of constant LDs now, but hopefully it's a start.

      Hi there my friend,
Congrats on your very first LD . I know it's kinda short but it's an achievement especially for those who are just starting out. Be sure to read the official Dream Stabilization Tutorial so that you can prolong your lucid dream and make out the most of it. Just have patience and confidence in yourself and you'll have your second, third and etc Lucid Dream. Hope this helps

..and my second! well, if about 7 seconds counts, lol!

i was getting chased by zombies (zombs feature very regularly in my dreams, not sure why) and i was running towards some steps. i was thinking that if i couldn't throw them of i was going to be in real trouble cos i would tire out and they wouldn't. then at the top of the steps i was remembering a thread on LD where someone said if they were getting chased they just flew up to safety. so i tried that, taking a jump and soared up. i was "whoo yeah, i'm in a dream!" - and promptly woke up X-(
lol, oh well, i guess each one will reinforce that it's not a fluke and should help my determination/mindset for the next.

Congratulations for your first Lucid Dream! I had my first this morning. All this time I've been studying lucid dreaming so much that I wanted it to happen instantly.

Every night I've been doing lucid dream chants to make myself lucid dream. So this morning I suddenly ended up lucid dreaming for the first time. This is like the biggest achievement to me even though I didn't control it much but just knew I was dreaming.

Ok this lucid dream. I saw these 2 girls who I haven't seen in ages they were still there young selves (both 5 years old). It was like I time travelled back to 99. I knew this was a dream and thats when my lucidity popped in because I looked much older than both of them plus I haven't seen them both in ages. I asked them questions though I can't remember what questions I asked. The dream started to fade away, so I spinned the dream but I couldn't go back to that seen. When I spinned it showed all different dream scenes. I went in to the dream scene that had a tent and thats where my lucidity increased more. I saw my sister in this big tent I felt like telling her to get out of my dream. I went into an office after that and saw my mums graduation photos and saw our old car number plate. In the graduation photos I looked at this ladies to photos and comparing her face and she started to look uglier.

      Gongrats!!!
Just had two lucids myself this morning. I've noticed that LD's get longer with stabilization and just by having them. My LD's just last from 30-60 seconds, even without stabilization.
My own stabilization is to drink a can of cola, works like a charm every time.
Remember there's plenty of more where that came from.
      Lucid dreaming since September 2011!!!
Lucid goals: Jumping out of a car going at high speed and crashing into an oncoming car, completely destroying the car, leaving me unharmed. [ ],
      Visiting moon [x], Proper flying [x], Stabilizing an LD perfectly [x], Shoot lightning/lasers out of my fingers [x], Shapeshifting [ ], Fly a helicopter [ ], TOTY 2013 [ ], Change dreamscene [x].
      Lucids: 16 crappy, 15 good, 5 awesome.

Congrats on the lucid, and congrats on the semi-successful flying! Don't worry too much about the dream control and all that either. It took me forever to stop sucking at flying. You just have to practice and try different things to see what works best for you.

Hay I managed to have another one again but it was short and I felt like I was still awake. Well, it happened when I managed to keep conscience when my dream was fading away so I thought I should spin. I ended up in a dream scene where I saw faces changed and there were different people in the rooms as I walked through them.

I notice the patterns in my dreams lately, before I got to sleep tonight I'm going to say "If I see anything unusual then I know I'm dreaming".
