      Lucid for a split second

      Good morning all,

I just had a brief lucid experience, followed by a failed 'dream spinning' attempt and of course waking up. The latter of which I am too familiar with!

I was in a dream, quite a long one actually, a fun one at that (even though most of it wasn't lucid, it was still fun; a Walking Dead style dream), so it might be the fact that I was done my REM cycle when I became lucid, which is why I lost the dream, or I just got too excited when it happened.

I have never had a full LD, start to finish, or more than just a split second, but I have had several brief lucid experiences, and half OBEs, so this was quite exciting and interesting for me. Hopefully I can further this into full lucidity.

      EDIT:
I'm remembering back to the dream, it was crazy when I realized that I was in a dream. It just hit me, I smiled in my dream, then bam, everything started to fade. Right before me. I'd say I'm happy though, even if it slipped away from me. It was surreal, the realization. Never had I experienced something like that.
