Crazy Dream, not 100% sure about lucidity tho

Ok So as far as the start of the dream goes, this I cannot remember altho my morning recalls are getting alot better thru practice..

I am talking to someone who looks vaguely familiar and it is driving me crazy that I do not recognise him, he challenges me by saying "come on.. you know who i am.. you do" i am honest when i say i felt like i was racking my brain trying to remember who this person was, all the time this person saying "think deep deep into your memory, peel back the layers, you KNOW you know where to look, keep looking.."

I felt agitated that I could not work out who this person was and that somehow i was in my MIND in a dreamsequence looking thru filing cabinets for names and photos like an old movie lol

Then I looked up at the guy and his face slowly changed into a young man who resembled my dad and my grandad.. he announced himself as my great great grandad and i was like "how was i supposed to know this?" and he replied "every generation passes memories thru to the next, its in our dna.. you just have to know where to look" and i asked "how far" and he replied "as far back as you will let yourself" then the image of this person was gone.

I am not sure when i woke up but this was all so vivid and still is, kina creepy considering what this "person" was telling me.. but in same sense i think it was ME asking those questions and not my auto brain..

phew.. was just glad to get that down in text LOL thanks for reading if you got this far

Sounds strange, so you say his face changed into your dads and said that memories pass through generations DNA? Sounds a lot like Assassins creed and the animus, where Desmond lives out his genetic ancestors memories (If you know what im talking about.) As far as lucidity goes, this dream didn't sound really lucid but you were close, if you had become aware of the fact that his face had just changed, you could have used that as a cue to RC. Keep practicing at it, and getting better recall.

Wow, amazing dream. If your not sure about lucidity you most likely werent, though thats not so important- Sometimes we have to dream naturally for the subconscious to talk to us, rather than us forcing answers from it. Take everything he told you and keep it close, he, or someone else from the past will surely visit you again- when you are ready.

His face wasnt my dads, it resembled my dads and he then announced himself as my great great grandad, who obviously I wouldn't have known anyway. I havent seen assasins creed to be fair but what (i think) he was implying is that everyone stores a little bit of thier memories in their dna, all this gets passed thru so it becomes possible (if you knew where to look) to see our ancestors memories.

Don't know what this all means really, COULD it be my subconcious telling me some things i have hidden away I could unlock if i look hard enough? could this be where people say they have "been here before" when its infact a part of thier ancestors memories coming through? i really do not know (if i did id make a million selling books lol)

Maybe this is a topic for another discussion, i have always been really intrested in the "i think therefore i am" philosophy kind of things, surely if we pass on habits, abilities, fears to our next generation surely we pass on other things, memories possibly, too..

On another note, altho im not getting much reality checks in my dreams, my dream recall is getting very good.. hoping this is a good progression
