Has this ever happened to anyone?

Hi I am new to this forum, and never really thought much about my dreams being lucid or not. I have known for a long time that I have very powerful and imaginative dreams that I can control what I do. Twitter lead me here. My question is this. My daughter frequently slept with me when I was single. I had a very vivid dream one night about werewolves and protecting my daughter. In my dream I made sure my daughter was protected at all cost. Which in turn meant killing werewolves regardless of age. I remember knowing I was dreaming and deciding that my daughter would not be harmed. I was startled awake by my daughter yelling and crying. I asked her what was wrong and she proceeded to tell me the dream I was having, including the part where I had repeatedly stabbed a younger (puppy in her words)werewolf that was running towards my daughter. Is this a common occurrence? I was very unsettled by this idea. Because I have very intense dreams on a regular basis. Not all scary but all very vivid and colorfully imaginative.
