Thank you for your responses! And im pretty sure it was sleep paralysis, but this is why i found it even more interesting... I have experienced and induced sleep paralysis more times than I can count, and it has never scared me. This was so different... and even more odd to me was that after waking from it the first time, and realizing how foolish it was, it immediately happened again and terrified me even more.

And brock, i very much agree with that, it is an insanely complex issue... but it has been something i have been so confused and curious about since it happened. i wondered if anyone has had a smiler experience. It reminds me of the dreaming emissary in Carlos Castaneda's books lol. Because it was a voice that was not my own in my thoughts.
And i had always thought that the famous "enlightened" people (the dali lama, Meher Baba, Krishnamurti ect) were ones that had reached nirvana ... after reading Robbert Waggoners book i think he did too.
