Hey guys, love the site. I've been listening to binaural beats for about a month and a half but I was having no luck, although it has been extremely relaxing and I will definitely continue! Anyway, about two nights ago I was listening to some nice 80's music and decided it was about time to go to sleep because I had a big day when I woke up, it was about 11:50ish pm. So I went to bed not even thinking about lucid dreaming, although I still had my dream journal I've been writing in for about two months. I'll start typing now straight from what I wrote in my journal. (I will indicate when it becomes lucid)
It is very dark outside, the sky seems to almost be a black-dark navy blue, yet everything is visible still. As I am on the side of my house (I'm not sure what I'm doing), my close friend shows up and he seems to suggest that we should take the car out for a ride, though he doesn't really appear to use words, just hand gestures. I don't respond, but somehow we pop into the car as it is still in the garage, turned off. It appears to be an old car, about fifteen-twenty years old. I am in the driver's seat and he is in the passenger seat as we reverse out of the garage, into the street. As I put it in drive, I get the sense my friend is staring and smiling at me, almost creepy-ish like. I dont turn to look at him, and as I push on the gas, the car starts to fly. Neither of us seem to think this is weird, and we act completely normal, flying through the air in a car. We are flying around for what seems to feel like quite some time. (The only image I can remember of flying is us flying past a billboard and over head a nuclear plant with big tube like things spewing out smoke.) As we arrive back at my house, it starts to become lucid. We start getting out of the car and as I am unbuckling my seat belt, I realize I am in a lucid dream. I literally randomly say to myself "This is a lucid dream." As we get out of the car I decide to slam the door shut as hard as I can. As I realize this truly is a lucid dream I start smiling and then I imagine a frisbee in my hands, and I decide to throw it as far as I can. As I throw it, it didn't seem to be effected(affected?) by gravity and it continues off into the distance. The sky seems to be lighter, maybe a little darker than baby blue.
And that's all I can remember of my first lucid experience. I'm super glad I found this forum, and I'm excited to share more of my experiences and read about your guys' experiences as well. Peace out, hope you enjoyed reading my first LD.
