      First (very short!) Lucid Dream!!

Woooo! I know it's possible now.

I wasn't trying for it in any particular technique, it came as a DILD, brought on as far as i can tell by reality checking and mantras. I was in a strange house with my family that looked scarily like my grandad's house. We looked around it and i was a lot more aware of my surroundings and thoughts than ususal (perhaps due to raised awareness in real life?) and had independant thoughts as well as what i was saying in the dream. I thought i'd already done a reality check and found out i was awake, so i dismissed the possibility i was dreaming, and carried on with the dream. Later i was sitting with my grandma at the table, and i said 'God, how weird is this? It's just like your house!' and she said 'Well have you done a reality check?' And i said 'yeah, but i'll check again' and i looked down at my hands and i had seven fingers! and i tried the breathing thing, and it's true! You can breathe. Realising i was dreaming was this amazing buzzing feeling through my whole body, but i tried not to get too excited. I realised i had to get out of here and do something fun, so I bounced to the door (bouncing was easier than walking, which was a bit stiff) and opened it and looked outside, but it was all blurry, so i tried opening my eye's wider to see better, but i opened them in real life

I wish i'd done a reality check at this point, as i'm pretty sure it was a false awakening, because it was all dark, too dark to write down my dream. I dropped back off and woke up what i instinctively now was a few seconds later and it was light, and i wrote it down. I know it happened in the morning, and there's no way it could have been dark.

So oh well, quite annoying, but a massive step for me! I think i might be ready to start on WILDing, as i'm recalling a couple of dreams everynight, and my waking efforts are obviously getting through

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper
