Thread: Meeting a guide in an early dream

4 years I started to meditate consciously. I found a free program based on Gnosticism that was practicing Astral Projection. Lucid dreaming was part of the curriculum.

Early on, I had a distinctive lucid dream.

I was with a group of travelers adventuring through a rainforest. I looked down, noticing the pattern of rocks, grass, and mud beneath my feet. Innately, I knew that they were a microcosm of the forest we in. Suddenly, a rock flipped over (I forget if I flipped it over or if it did so on its own) and I think I tried to replace it.

Before I knew it, the ground started caving-in in huge holes. Giant worms (like in Dune) started popping out of the holes (it seemed like their underground tunnels had suddenly become too much for the forest to stand upon).

As we ran for safety, a huge cave-in happened right under us. As we were falling to our presumed deaths, I denied that this was how I would die, realized I was dreaming, and fell into a state of limbo. I asked to be taken somewhere (I forget if I said I wanted to see my dream-guide, but I was adamant in going somewhere progressive).

I traveled through a vortex of orange and yellow glows, eventually reaching a wobbly floating state. My hair was floating around and I was trying to pat it down, while maintaining a balance, until I heard a voice say "leave it alone/let it go." I stopped and instantly regained equilibrium. I became engulfed in a sphere of mathematical equations, hieroglyphics, shapes, words, etc. It was overwhelming, but it made sense as whole, like a myriad of my life knowledge, past, present, and future, and if I looked at a small portion I was able to decipher it.

Eventually the sphere dispersed and I was faced with this beautiful, elegant women, dressed in flowing Indian attire (I think it was blue and gold), possibly jewelery. She had mocha/dark skin and she said her name was Ding and that I could ask her for anything. I forget whether she stated she was my guide or dream-guide, and I've never seen her since.

My friend recently told me about this site, and today we were talking and this site and story came up, so I felt like sharing it with all of you. I'd love to see her again, and I hope by sharing the story it may bring me to her, or maybe you can give me advice, or maybe you will enjoy the story as it is and maybe find your own guides as well!

I've been reading the tutorials and I look forward to continue practicing.
