OK, so I am new here and made a forum account to share with you my first real lucid dream. The reason i think it to be lucid is that I was aware it was a dream and it was just as realistic as reality. I know it is long but read it, you might enjoy it as I have a very productive mind
Anyway I got in from work and I was really tired as I do a physical job so I took a nap for a few hours and woke up at about 8pm feeling really groggy so I went on my computer. I wasn't tired since I had a nap so I waited till around 2- 2:30am opened my window for some nice cool air and went to bed. Anyway on to the dream.
So I awoke (or so I thought) in my room and everything seemed normal, my window was open, my door was shut, nothing seemed strange so I just lay there in my bed. About what felt like 10 minutes went by and stuff got strange and I mean strange, there was flashing outside and a lot of noise like thunder so I was going to go downstairs and check but then I noticed that on the landing there was like a wooden pole (not normally there) so I stood on it crouched down and looked down the stairs. ( my stairs go straight into the living room and there is a window at the bottom.)
The blinds on the windows were open so I could see outside and what I can only describe as a large computer tower was in my backyard, it was flashing and had about 10 disc trays which were opening and closing, there was also a miniature scorpion thing crawling about the living room floor so I went back into my room and shut the door which is about when I realised this has got to be a dream.
A quick side note.
By this point I had no idea what to do since I had read about lucid dreaming months earlier and from what I read you can wake yourself by getting excited and I didn't want that to happen.
So pretty much stumped on what to do I lay on top of my bed, it must have made itself when I was on the landing, by this point the noise outside was really loud so I got up shut my window and then lay back down. When I looked to the left my computer had moved from where it usually is and has started to play pink Floyd's comfortably numb ( I listen to Floyd in my day to day life) so I sung along for a little while and got up to turn it off, when I got up to the computer it kept changing videos automatically and so I picked up my mobile phone to see if I could speak to someone to help me fix it but it didn't work.
Stuff started to fizzle out after that and I woke up in my room lying there, I quickly looked over to the left where my computer had been and it was instead back in its normal place and my window was still open, ( I fell asleep with it open) so I just thought about the dream for a bit watched some more TV and went to sleep.
