The dumbest, most unfortunate missed opportunity ever

well I was trying to Wild last night and it actually worked but I couldn't tell if it did or not. after the SP trasition crap ended, I wanted to see if it was a dream or not but it didn't really feel like it. My room looked the same, it was dark and the tv was working properly. I did the finger through hand technique but that failed as usual. then I looked at my hand and everything looked normal, all fingers present with no extra ones. then I decided to try out the light to see if it works and as expected, it did not, unfortunatly I quickly remembered that the light doesn't even work in waking life so I was convinced that I wasn't dreaming and went about my day. later I find my self in my bed pissed off because my broken light caused me to miss a lucid opportunity in what was SUPPOSE to be a WILD. which is freakin BS because your not suppose to have these kinds of missed opportunities in WILDS. thats only suppose to happen in regular dreams.

That is very unlucky, sometimes its hard to tell (once your HH die down) if you've slipped into a dream or just getting too excited and waking up.
Try some other RC's, personally I am not one to RC by switching on/off a light cause in my dreams I find they often work anyway, I'd advise you to at least stay clear while your actual light is broken .

Seems like you have it down though, keep plugging away.
Remember, it could of been worse. You could have dreamt that you were writing in your DJ about a dream you just had, just to wake up and have to write it again

Simply because you can breathe, doesn't mean your alive, or that you really live....

Lol that would suck, I actually stopped writting in my journal awhile ago. when you have ADD, things like writting dreams down becomes excruciatingly annoying so I just stopped. I still plan on starting it again.

it would have been my 15th lucid dream if only the first two RC worked and my light wasn't broken. the strange thing is the fact that I even tried that light anyways. I haven't touched it in years. another thing I forgot to mention is that I got the same sensation you get when getting up real fast after laying down for a long time. after I got out of bed, my eyes kinda fogged up like normal in lucid dreams but this time it felt exactly how it does in real life making it another missed dream sign.
