First post, first lucid dream :)

Hey guys

I have been reading this forum for a while now, mainly for techniques and tips to become lucid. I have been trying for around 3 and a half weeks now, using the MILD and DILD methods and eventually this morning i became, or at least I think I became lucid

.

It was around 8am and my alarm woke me up, I had a day off school today so I decided I would wake up, and get back in to bed in order to induce a lucid dream. After about 2 hours of flitting in and out of normal dreams and slightly becoming conscious opening my eyes and falling back to sleep, I found myself walking down a corridor in my school but suddenly I was completely self aware in the dream. I don't think i said to myself, 'i am dreaming' but the overwhelming sensation of being able to walk in a dream body and turn around and touch my hands was overtly there. I was in control for sure.

Now, this was very brief, around 20 - 30 seconds, but i even tried to do a reality check by willing my fingers to go through my palm and even tried to spin around and imagine being in my room to keep the dream going, sadly I woke myself up with this.

Was this full lucidity? or was i just semi-lucid?

Whatever it was i am ecstatic that I got to feel that sensation.

I agree the feeling is pretty amazing one of the things you can only experience if you try hard enough

Yeah exactly, and the fact that it is a lot of work to achieve a lucid dream, it made it so much more intense or something.

when I am lucid dreaming , I am completely sure that everything is a dream. I never do RC. I do not need them. Try to rotate the next time , It is funny.
