      my 3rd lucid dream

woke up with my eyes closed, then i entered a dream i was non lucid at first. i sneezed and a lot of green yucky stuff came out so i went to the bathroom to get a tissue, when i got to the bathroom i...i....i.. looked in the mirror... what i saw will stick with me forever probably.. it was me... but there was a gigantic hole where my left eye should be... i could see inside my head... my eye was right at the back just staring at me in the hole.. there was this thing in front of the eye it looked like it was supposed to be attached to it.. there was also power cables in the hole... i could see my skull as well and some parts of the inside of my nose... i was just staring at the mirror for ages... i became lucid during this... then 3 seconds later i woke up... this ALWAYS happens.. i have not had 1 lucid dream where i have been able to do anything cos i wake up every time.. and all my lucid dreams have come from realizing i was dreaming. i haven't succeeded at LDing on purpose... only by accident..

this might actually be my 4th lucid...

      Congrats on lucid dream!
That's one weird way to get lucid, haha, dreams can be weird.
Are you attempting DEILD? Check out this tutorial for some info on it: http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...cid-dream.html
It's not uncommon for some of first lucid dreams to be short due to excitement and similar, or maybe you were just at the end of REM, do not overthink about it though, you will have longer lucid dreams definitely, keep working on awareness and you could try some mantra while falling asleep like "I will be calm next lucid" or similar, think positive!
Also you can give stabilization techniques a try: http://www.dreamviews.com/articles/9...-tutorial.html
