      My First Lucid Dream

      My first Lucid Dream

      My Trials and Tribulation

Hi everybody I'm a new member. I'm joining this forum because I said to myself I wouldn't join until I get my first lucid dream. Well, I did after six hard long month. The reason it took so long was because I've been trying most of my attempts right when I got to bed. I found out its better in the middle of your sleep three months ago. But I don't try that often too. I probably attempted 2 per week. I first tried using WILD... epic fail, then MILD... still failed, after that was DEILD... Biggest of all fail, But for some reason I went back to WILD... and I failed at it again, and then back to DEILD... an you probably guessed it a fail. During this month of July I went back to attempting to lucid dream on the 1st week. I never been more dedicated ( I was really enthusiastic before but because of all my failures It just bumped it up). For that first 2 week I just reeducated myself with every technique over and over , repetition after repetition, again and again. Somewhere between the 18th-20th, I did the technique where you wake up after a dream with your eyes closed and change position and keep repeating it (something like that), And on my last dream , I started to enter the Dream world. You don't know how excited I was but how hard it was to maintain it which I did. I could feel , smell, hear the new scenery; it was almost complete. Until I made one of the biggest mistake of my life, I position my body in a risk. As I was breathing, I had one of my leg on top of another. For each breath I took the closer It was to falling off. I think you can tell What happened from there. When I woke up, I've never been so pissed in my life. I was about to experience great power. After that day I took some time off from attempting and started back on the 22nd. From the 22nd to the 23th I tried DEILD and failed as usual (I was doing them in the middle of the night). It wasn't until the 24th that I tried MILD. My reality check was count your five fingers and ask your self if your dreaming right now. I failed on the 24th. I think it was because I didn't have good dream recall because from that day I didn't remember any dreams. It wasn't until the 25th, oh that glorious day, that I achieved greatness. Yes On the day of July 25th 2013, I achieved my first lucid dream.

      How It All Went Down

So how I remembered how my dream started off, we were in a public place , maybe a park with a telephone poll (don't ask me, I don't know how it was there), really sunny and hot, and I saw a bunch of my middle school friends sitting at this bench. I started to walk towards them We talked, walk around where we were, I got this feeling to do a reality check. I counted my five fingers and as the moment I thought of asking if I was in a dream, one of my middle school friends who did track & field with me said and I quote "yep, your in a lucid dream". why he told me, I don't know. I knew not to become so excited knowing that I'll wake up. Man, did it feel so real. The first thing I did was try to obtain dream control. My biggest mistake. I was trying to make this napkin fly and that is where my dream end.

      Thank You

I want to say thank you to all those people who mad all those technique tutorials. If it wasn't for my failures and my continuance with trying, I would have never gotten to my first lucid dream. 6 months of almost hard work. To be honest, I wish I tried more now.

Congratulations. Lucid dreaming takes a fair bit of practice, not only to find a technique that works for you, but to also perfect that technique, so keep at it and you'll get even better. As for dream control, I can't offer any advice you probably won't have heard already, but in the interest of feeling useful, I will say this: try and control your excitement, especially regarding more intimate experiences and keep practicing. Good luck in the future.
