      My dream.

I was running in circles at a store with some people. Then like a level in a video game it switched to this one area with a hidden place my friend called me over to. I thought it was indiana jones but made predictions close to pirates of the Caribbean on one part i got separated on a split track and had to use my hands to go through a very scary part. (its scary when you cant go and things are actually jumping at you) then i just reversed out of there. I noticed it changed to my neighborhood and thought that was odd. Then I thought I was lucid dreaming. I tried to fly and it didnt work. But I could do a kamehameha! so then I ran over to my friends house. Unfortunately I started thinking about not blinking and then I blinked manually then I woke up before seeing my friend.

Maybe doing a reality check would have made your dream more vivid so you might have been able to fly. Maybe rubbing your hands?

Thanks. The funny thing was when I was little I could lucid dream with no problems I could do whatever once I realized it was a dream.

I'm having trouble pinpointing the question, but I think you're asking how to gain control better.

For me, I can do things easier in a lucid if I know that I'm able to do them already. I try not to think about it too much. I don't focus too much of my energy on realizing that I'm in a Dream, I just go about doing things as if they were natural to me. If you think about it, this may be a good strategy to use. When you are casually Dreaming, you believe that everything happening is true, so you can do things not normally possible much easier and without really thinking about doing them.

As far as stabilizing the Dream goes, I've found that there is a point where nothing really works. If you're going to wake up, then you wake up. Looking at your hands, spinning, rubbing hands together, focusing on details, etc. Many times if you think about trying to not wake up too much you will wake up.
      I Dreamed a Dream
In it, saw people I've never seen
      Gone places I've never been
And done things I'd do again.

I had no questions but that was very helpful.

      Congrats on lucid dream!
To add, do not focus on whether you blink or not in dream and don't worry about it, it's a myth that blinking always affects dream, many of us read/heard somewhere about it affecting dreams and, due to expectation, it indeed started affecting, but we can change our expectations, right?
I've closed dream eyes many times during my lucid dreams and dream remained stable when i opened them.

I should've known that when I was younger then when I closed my eyes to shapeshift I wouldnt have had such a risk of waking
