Trying to decide whether or not this was a lucid dream, help!

So I just woke up from a very quick dream about fifteen minutes ago, and I don't really know how to label the experience; so I'm going to type out what I wrote down in my dream journal for you, the community to help me decide. Some background I must say is that I haven't tried lucid dreaming a lot in the past two months, this is the first dream I've wrote down in my dream journal in the past month or so. That being said, my dream recall is horrible which is why I need to post this on this site for help in deciding, but I do have a lot of evidence pointing towards the fact that it may be a lucid dream. I previously have had two small lucid dreams, not full fledged but I do know the 'feelings' that come along with a lucid dream. With that being said, here is what I recorded :
" I think I had a lucid dream, but my memory is horrible. What I remember is that I was walking on the street that was on the way to Taco Tico, and suddenly I started thinking about my girlfriend. I don't really know what happened here, but I believe that I became consciously aware that I was dreaming, everything started clicking and felt real. But I do remember doing things as soon as the 'lucidity' began, like I started doing things that I could never do in real life, the first thing I did was that I walked into this persons house randomly but no lights worked AT ALL (which now that I think about it, is really creepy) but I tried to imagine a remote in my hand to turn the lights on but to no avail. So I moved onto the next house, which all of the lights were on. As soon as I walked in, it was like a new house morphed with my present house. It has all of the furniture that my we own, but of course in different places. I began walking around and I found my brother in this room filled with toys and action figures, which is very odd as he is 21 years old. I remember talking to him about the brother I knew and he asked how old he is and I said 21, and he seemed surprised by that. At this point, the dream started to lose it's lucidity I believe or I just started to forget more. The last thing I remember is going to another room which I believed to be mine, due to the fact that the walls were decorated with comics and my kind of things but my brother in the dream said it was his and it seemed apparent that I wasn't alive in this 'dream' or even apart of the family. Immediately after that, the dream started to fall apart, I lost the feeling I had during that and another dream came through with an entirely different theme and people so I woke up."

Now, like I said above, my dream recall is horrible; I haven't used my dream journal in a long, long time. But before, I've had a pretty successful time in my eyes with lucid dreaming as I've been able to achieve two lucid dreams (even though short lived). But I do remember doing a lot of things in the dream, like trying to automatically do things that I couldn't do in real life like imagining a remote to my hand to turn the lights on, because I've always wanted to imagine something into my dream once I did achieve a long term lucid dream that could stay alive. I just remember amazing feelings once the 'lucidity' or whatever happened began, but I'm just not sure. Is it possible to of had a dream, where in that dream my dream character becomes lucid, but not really me? I mean, maybe it's just my dream recall that doesn't make it seem as vivid and lucid as it may have been but I remember amazing feelings and just everything was so great, I remember at the start of the moment when I was on the road and I became "lucid" that I ran very slow when I decided to start walking/running around, it was just an amazing world and so new so I could appreciate anyone that could help me with this decision.

seems like a proper lucid to me. and lights are notorious for being uncooperative, though why is anyone's guess. recall will get better, the more you practice, so don't worry about that.

Sounds like lucid, especially considering that you had the 'switch' moment where everything started feeling real, so congrats!
As for doing stuff that you wouldn't do, that can happen, in dreams we don't always remember waking life fully and sometimes our personality can be different too. If you don't have goal list, make one and read it some times through the day and especially before going to sleep, that will help you remember goals, and with them, proper waking life memory.

Thank you both! As always, I can rely on the community of Dream Views. The fact that you two also believe it was a lucid dream helps a lot, it makes me really happy to know I had one of that magnitude! All of my other ones fell pretty quickly, just wow thanks!

Your lucid dream seams similar to mine in that you seemed to drift in and out of lucidity a couple of times--that's what your description sounds like anyway. I've read around here that it's not uncommon for one to either lose lucidity during their LDs, or to drift into lower degrees of lucidity. Awesome with the lights, I have never gotten to experience that yet.

Yeah, I didn't think much of it when the dream was happening, but now that I think back on it... Very creepy, good thing I walked out at that moment!
