Okay, this needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Help.

Lucid while taking a nap; I've never had one this way.

The dream: I was in the street walking and singing when some friends popped up. One of them followed the lyrics of the song I was singing. After that we started talking about how big was the S4 a friend of mine have.
I was talking with one of them and doing weird things with my eyes and laughing when suddenly I did a RC, I don't know why, but I did it thinking 'I wish this was a dream' and I had 12 fingers. I did it again because it freaked me out, I couldn't believe that I was dreaming, it all felt so real. I said to my friends 'Omg I am dreaming' and started focusing on the scenery, looking the details for the dream to be stable and vivid.

The thing is that at this point I started to lose lucidity, as always, because one part of my brain is thinking 'my body, my real body is now on my bed' while I'm stabilizing the dream, and when I do this I start to feel my real body until I found myself awake, but I can't control that, I don't even know why.

Is this usual? I need advice on how to fix this. Thanks
      NyxCC and Chimpertainment like this.
I like destruction and reality, and one invariably leads to the other.

'Dreams are real while they last. Can we say more of life?'
'We die to remember what we live to forget'

      Congrats on the ld!!!

Unless your goal is to wake up from a dream, it is better not to think about your body or the fact that the dream is going to end. Just because you realized it's a dream, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's unstable or about to end. It is much better to go following your own agenda. If you have no predetermined goals just give it your best shot to examine, touch and feel everything around you. The dream can also last longer if you are trying to accomplish a task, that way you will be much more focused.

Finally, even when the dream starts to fade, you can refuse to let go of it. Just wait for it to return and ignore any other thoughts. Be there, in the dream, concentrate on it and it will come back. And in case you find yourself back in bed, stay still and try to DEILD.

Yeah I know and probably it would have been a good lucid because it was so vivid and realistic (I needed a second RC to be completely sure) but I don't know, I just did it automatically, like my thoughts were too fast for me to choose a correct answer, I don't know if you know what I mean. Anyway, I'm having them more often so

      ^^ Here's a thought.

There is a chance that you're thinking about your body being asleep because you're "scheduled" to wake up shortly, and your dreaming mind is giving you a little kick to remind you that you'll be awake in a minute.

Maybe next time this thought appears you could remember that yeah, your sleeping body is out there, and calmly accept this fact and push on with your dream. You might even take a moment to carefully consider your dream surroundings so that you can more easily bring them with you on the DEILD NyxCC rightly suggests you attempt upon waking.

LD's often happen during the moments that just precede waking, so it might be very difficult to avoid waking up. With time and experience, though, you'll likely be getting lucid earlier, and finding yourself with more time to dream.
