      Had I a lucid dream.

      Hi.
      I think I had a lucid dream today .
In my dream I was at home (5300km away) and getting ready to go back. I usally fell distress when leaving home and same in my dream. Suddenly I felt something odd and I asked myself how I got my home because there was no way to be at home. Then I realized I was dreaming and panicked all the scene began fading away but I remembered the spinning technique and spinned. It was really helpfull. After feeling all right I tried to fly, jumped and began to fly but the strange thing was I couldn`t see the sky just gleaming black substance and I was flying in this substance .I tried to see the sky, closed my eyes and thought the sky but still I was there. And again panicked took the control of my dream and I tried all the thing that I read as far as I remembered and woke up.
      Had I a lucid dream?
What could I have done when I couldn`t see the sky..
      Cheers..

That's enough right there to say \"yes, it was a lucid dream\".

Why did you panic? Once you realize you are dreaming, then you should also realize that nothing you see or experience can hurt you, so there's nothing to be scared of. I would imagine that your panic is what led to the scene fading away. I'm impressed that you had the presence of mind to remember spinning, especially if you've never had a lucid dream before.

Sorry, but I can't definitely explain why the sky looked the way it did, or what you should have done at that point. Controlling your dream is always trickier than just becoming lucid -- it takes practice. One of the most important things in controlling your dream is to really believe that something is going to happen -- just hoping usually isn't enough. If you were still panicked, then I assume that you didn't have 100% confidence in what you were doing, so that may be why you couldn't change the sky.

But it sounds like you are well on your way to learning lucid dreaming -- just have confidence, and don't give up!

You did indeed have a lucid dream good job! Dream control is tricky for some but you could try to change the dreamscene to something else with the sky in it try to find a door or make one appear and walk through it thinking about where you want to end up when you go through the door.

      Thanks for answers..

I think my excitement is normal because it is the first time I have realized that I am dreaming..

Door idea is very good. I`ll try to remember if I have another lucid dream..

      cheers
