      First LD finally :)

Soo I'm a long time lurker posts here and there loads of reading.

I have been trying to LD for a while and I'm 99.9999% sure lastnight I had my first LD.

Not much but during a dream suddenly thought to RC (used Charlie morleys technique of looking at my hands looking away and back) and my left hands middle finger was elongated and wiggling.

Sudden excitement and this amazing feeling of "I DID IT!" the dream scape changed to all black I could see nothing I thought to stabalize and stared at my hands and I remember thinking what's happening.. What's next the dream scape was still blank / dark / nothing.. I think I panicked trying to think of what to do how to do something Then I woke up.

Anyways I have never (or can't ever remember ) seen my hands in a dream so clearly and actualy knew it was a dream I was in.

Short sweet and only the beginning.

Congrats on the lucid! Yes, that was a lucid dream. Sometimes, especially in the beginning, you can get so excited that you lose lucidity, but don't worry, that will all get better with practice. But now you know that you can do it!

Grats !! It's too bad that your dreamscape faded, but not to worry, that sort of thing isn't irregular in my opinion. Maybe create a goal for yourself. So, next time, when you become lucid, you already have a pre-meditated task to carry out.

      Happy dreaming!

Thanks for the reply, great feeling to know this lucid dreaming is something real that even I can experience!

I tell you what though that feeling of suddenly realising is amazing and hard to describe, I guess it's the feeling you would get if you suddenly realised you had won the lottery

sounds similar to my first LD, it was all black except this one mud hill we used to ramp during a demolition derby in the dream. keep dreaming!!!
