MAJOR Success with WILD at night!!

Ok guys, I've JUST started this with thing because of a childhood memory that convinced me I used to WILD at will... last night was my third attempt and I was MUCH more concise with my actions after reading up on techniques... Here is the account...
      -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Last night I tried to WILD and got VERY far. First I just laid down with the headphones on and focused on my breathing…I was just laying and relaxing, listening to the deep sound of my breathing… After about 10 minutes I think I let some of my awareness slip away and all of a sudden things started to happen, numbness shot through me, vibrations and all. I remember hearing a mans voice whisper in my ear and it scared the living hell out of me. I had headphones on but no music device attached…After this is when the REALLY weird things started… I felt like I was falling and being moved in all directions. I was not expecting anything, I was just letting it flow. Every time I felt I was becoming too conscious I just thought of static on a tv and the words “White noise”. I was just swirling and tumbling through the blackness of my eyelids…I tried all methods to enter into a dream but none worked to my avail. When I opened my eyes I was actually dizzy… It was very weird…
      -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The ONLY thing that kept me from moving into a WILd was the swallowing, I had my mouth pointing straight up, and so the saliva was dripping into my throat making me choak, Next time I will make sure not to make this mistake again... This has convinced me that WILDing is both easy and possible at night... And I intend to do it much more
God, grant me the courage the change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I can't, and the wisdom to know the difference...

WILDs at night are certianly possible

I've had 4 "nights" in a row where I have WILDed by using a new technique, although it requires first waking up. I set my alarm for 4:00 get up, go get a drink of water, go to the bathroom if I can and head back to sleep. It worked everytime I've tried it.

The past few nights I set the alarm but didn't wake up. Probably because I was too filthy drunk to be bothered.

Yup Yup. Thats called the WBTB (Wake-Back-to-Bed Method)
It seems to be one of the most successful ways of acheiving lucidity.

If I got more sleep and was willing to hear my alarm go off at 4 without being afraid of not being able to fall back asleep, (I have A LOT of trouble falling back asleep, usually) I would be using this method more often.

Oh, shoot. You mean this thread is titled, "MAJOR Success with WILD at night!!" and you didn't even complete the WILD?

Regardless, thank you for the post. I'm very interested in this knowledge of your childhood that convinced you that you could WILD at will. And I'll try using the white noise idea.

If you can get around to it, please rename the thread to something without the word "success."

I had success with the technique, not completion. I am taking baby steps in persuit of a WILD at night and I had great success in my eyes, I gave the way I got there...That, to me, is success. Forgive me if you were mislead but that is my interpritation
God, grant me the courage the change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I can't, and the wisdom to know the difference...

Help me understand, then... What did you succeed in doing?

It looks like you succeeded in making progress, not in making a WILD. Maybe you could write "major progess with WILD" or "major success with progress."

Not to nitpick. Just trying to help.

Jeez X9, give him a break I'd be stoked to even get that far, so far I've only once gotten close to that. Gratz T.G. Good luck with getting further than that too

Yeah... I guess I'm just trying to be encouraging in my own way. "Don't fool yourself.. you're not there yet..." you know?

I've fooled myself plenty of times.

I really must apologize. It's a day later and I see now how rude I was.

      Don't worry bout it

We know you meant well and what you were trying to say. I just think that you need to congratulate yourself whenever you make a new step. Like when I recalled 5 dreams one night, I felt really kewl and thought that it was a good step towards lucid dreams.
