      I think I did it?

I think I might've lucid dreamed. I was sticking to MILD + WBTB for some time now and I think I might've gotten a lucid? If I did, it was very short, only about a couple seconds. I remember being on sand, and maybe seeing a sunset, then I decided to do an RC and check how many fingers I had. It was about 6 on my left hand, which is when I realized it. The dream ended instantly, and I remember feeling a tingly sensation all over my body. I'm not sure if it was my dream body or my real life body. I'm not sure if this was a mock lucid dream (dream about a lucid dream) or a hypnagogic hallucination, because it felt a little transparent. If this was a real LD, I am really glad, because it's been years and I finally did it. I hope it was an LD.

Sounds like it was. Perhaps not a high level one, but a lucid dream is a lucid dream. Great progress. Keep it up!

A lucid dream is simply being aware that you’re dreaming whilst dreaming. When you say “I realized it” did you feel you were there in that moment and could fully comprehend what that meant? If so then I would say you were lucid but maybe not to the full extent you can be. Some call this a semi-lucid. Either way it’s a great sign you’re getting there.

I'm not too sure. It was very brief and happened very fast. As soon as I realized it, the dream ended. I didn't really feel there when I did the RC. I'm convinced that it was an LD because I felt the tingling sensation after becoming lucid, and after the dream, I looked it up and it turns out other people have had it too.

Yes that's the first step of becoming lucid. If you were able to calm you would've stayed in it for longer.
But don't worry my first lucid was also very very short under 5 seconds. I became aware and lost it.
Soon, you will get better and better, and eventually you will spending 5-10 minutes in a lucid doing everything and anything you could imagine.

My first lucid dream lasted only 2 seconds as well. I realized, and then I woke. I don't think it's uncommon.
