      No RCs

Before coming to this website, I did occasionaly have lucid dreams, but now that I've looked into it a bit here, I've had them for the past three nights! The thing is, in every one of them, the lucidity just randomly hit me like, "Oh wait, I'm dreaming!", I never seem to do RCs, the lucidity just comes to me - is anyone else like this or do you think I will end up needing to do RCs a lot more?

Yeah, it happens to me fairly often, too. In the majority of my lucid dreams, I simply became lucid from noticing something odd (sort of like an accidental reality check), but in almost as many I "just knew" that I was dreaming for no apparent reason. In fact, I've only had a few dreams so far in which I became lucid as a result of a reality check. My main use of reality checks is after I suspect I'm dreaming, just to make absolutely sure that I'm really dreaming.

      Same here.
Most of the time I will be dreaming and out of the blue I will just say to myself "I'm dreaming". Then the RC is used to confirm it.
Sometimes I wil notice that something is strange and figure out that is is a dream, but not nearly as often.
I NEVER do RC's during the day, but I do think about Lucid Dreaming almost constantly.

Doesn't happen to me at all, because my daily life is just as odd as dreams are. :)
Just kidding, maybe not just as odd, but still, never happened to me.
Keep on dreaming in the... real world?

I used to just realize I was dreaming for no reason until I actually found out about LDing. Now I have LDs a lot more often because of my dreamsigns and RCs I do at night. I only do maybe 1 or 2 RCs during the day (if I encounter something that could happen in a dream), but basically I use common dreamsigns to recognize and induce lucidity now. And I still have the, "Hey, I'm dreaming!" realizations out of the blue, too.

Yes, this seems to be the way for me, too. All the lucids that I have had, I have always been lucid before I do reallity checks. I don't even know why I do RC's when I know I am lucid. I guess I just like the feeling of defying laws ;p

i do it just before doing something that I shouldn't if it was real life. like jumping from high places or telling to people I dislike what I think about them or anything that would harm me in any way.
it's a little useless for I already know I'm dreaming when i do it, but i do because I know people can get mad, temporarily or not, for a million reasons (from fever to alcohool...) and it would be stupid to harm myself in case it happened to me.

Yah thats the only way i haveLD'D

The first time i had an LD was because my dream was about trick or treating and the kid jacked candy from my house so i chaed him down and beat thec rap out of him and threw him down a hill but he would have been dead so i realized i was dreaming hahahaha, lasted like 3 seconds, and the second and 3rd times it was completely random and i just knew i was dreaming, ecept one time i was flying and around then i landed on the ground and realized i was dreaming but i had to test if i was and when i did i failed the test so i thought i was awake and lost lucidity.
