lucid dreams you just cant end...

Dear all, ive probably had about 100 to 120 lds in the last 4years but usually the experience is difficult to prolong but this morning i had one i just couldnt end and i had 2 false awakenings that i just instantly knew were false awakenings! I was stabbed, then run over then realized i was invincible then i visited the dalai lama who was lying asleep on the stairs all in all it was a great experience until i just wanted to wake up. the whole thig lasted half an hour in real time...my question whats the best technique for getting out of an ld?

lie down and go to sleep in the dream....this is a fairly common method that surprisingly works for alot of people..

You could convince yourself something terribly bad is happening on the other side. You will get worried and wake up.

      Some techniques for waking up:

      1) blink your eyes
      2) stay perfectly still and stare at one point
      3) make yourself excited, run around and yell "wake up", "Wake up"

As seen in "Waking Life" ask a DC on how to do to wake up. In the movie, the DC said "WAKE UP!" and he did. Might be worth the try if you are desperate

Yep, worked for me. I didn't want to wake up, though, I just wanted some rest.
Dang bed was so comfy in the dream, too...

Just close your eyes, I found that works, rather anoyingly. I closed my eyes while I was transforming, and woke up because of it, damnit.

Close your eyes as tight as you can, and then open them as fast and as wide as you can while forcefully intending to open your physical eyes instead of just your "dream eyes."

Never thought I'd ever hear that... Umm, closing your eyes in the dream should wake you up if you want it too.

I agree, this is exactly what i've done my whole life to get out of dreams and it seems to always work, if it doesn't work the first time, I just keep trying and it eventually does.

This is great help for me. Although, I feel that when I panic or start yelling at myself it generally makes things worse.

      3) make yourself excited, run around and yell "wake up", "Wake up"

      Such as the above example.

      But we are all different.

      Thanks.
