Thread: How Much Time Did Your Longest Ld Last?

for me...probably like 30 min.

Longest: ~15 mins.
Shortest: ~ 30 sec.

Is this real time, or what the LD felt like?

I think it's hard to know the dream duration IRL perfectly...

agreed, I serously doubt lucid dreams have ever gone longer then 10 minutes, my friend says he has them over a 100 year span, but the fact is lding is just like watching a movie, the longest I've had was probably 5 minutes, the shortest probably lasted only a few secounds.

i had one LD and it seemed to last maybe 15 minutes

Is that enough time to do the things you want? I thought LDs seem like they last hours. I read somewhere if you find a clock and imagine it moving slower, it will seem like you're in the LD longer. 5-15 min. doesn't seem like enough to do some of the things I want to do.

Shortest - 25-30 seconds

Longest - 3 minutes (lost lucidity 3 minutes into the dream, the dream itself lasted around 20 minutes)

there is never enough time to do EVERYTHING. i havent tried the clock thing though...

The only LD I've had that lasted longer than 30 seconds, lasted for what seemed like 5 minutes.... it was just me walking around repeating "I'm dreaming" out loud... then I tried to talk to a dream character and woke up.

My longest LD was about 15 mins and I had complete control, I've had some 5 minute ones and lots of 30 seconds ones.

Mine dont last long at all, I get excited and it just ends abruptly. like.. i even see the light entering my eyes as the dream ends and eveyrthing turns white, im like NOOOOOOO!!!!

My longest lucid dream was like a lifetime span. Although, I cannot remember what it was about now... I will have to do some digging up if anybody is curious what it was about. I know the fact that I had few lucid dreams that seemed to last a year or a lifetime.

And for the longest real time, I have been conscious the entire night few times.. so approx. 8 hours I guess, including the dreamless state. Mind ya, I can't do that anymore... maybe someday I can get that lost talent back, but for now, it's out of the question.

I'd say about 10-15 minutes for the longest but most are much shorter, from 1-3 minutes. I wouldn't mind them being so short if I could have them more often.

Anyone know why LDs seem to be shorter than normal dreams?

My longest lasted for over 45 min. I used to be really good at staying in a lucid dream because I would convince myself that I wasen't actually dreaming but just had the ability to do anything I wanted, it works great for me sense believing im dreaming only makes me worry about waking up which usually causes me to wake up. the shortest I ever had was probably 5 seconds long. The average lucid dream is about 3 min for me.

I've only had like one or two and both were very low awareness. The first one (if it even was a lucid dream) lasted about 5 minutes at most. The second one lasted probably around 10 minutes.

My longest was about 20 minutes. But on average I'd say they range from 5 - 10 minutes or so. To me the passage of time in a LD kind of feels the same as IRL, (although being sure of that is hard), so I think my estimate is pretty accurate.

Okay, now I know that in my dreams, I don't realize that I am dreaming, but the amount of detail is exactly perfect. I, really, live in another reality when I have dreams like this. The only problem is, I can be in these realities for quite some time. Every one of these dreams I have I have been in for three days dream time, and I can accuratly recall every second of every day in the dreams. What exactly would this kind of dreaming be called? Because longest dream I had was three days.
