Well, first off, I've been lucid dreaming for as long as I can remember, and many of my dream characters STILL try to convince me that I'm not dreaming, so that's just something that you're going to have to get used to. Lol. |

i can have about 1 lucid a week. in these dreams i relize it's a dream and start telling my friends and people around me in the dream. NO ONE BELIVES ME, so i do things like smack them and yell and (other things, lol) and they keep saying that we are awake. I start to lose confidence in my dreams and belive that i am not dreaming and feel bad that i did all those things. WHY DOESN"T ANYONE BELIEVE ME? |

Dream Journal: Dreamwalker Chronicles Latest Entry: 01/02/2016 - "Hallway to Haven" (Lucid)(Or see the very best of my journal entries @ dreamwalkerchronicles.blogspot)
Just ignore them and and do w/e you want. Prove to yourself it is a lucid dream by doing reality checks. |
do an RC. as long as YOU know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you're dreaming, you can play god |
Just dropkick them in the front teeth. That always helps. |
In my dream, before I went lucid, there were lots of people in the halls, but when I went lucid they all disappeared, and anybody left completely ignored me, accept for some weird buggy eye movements. |
its just that in my LDs i get paraniod that it is real life and i'm the only one that relizes its a dream. I show them clocks that never change and show them the crazy stuff that can't really happen. It starts to feel that even though i'm dreaming the dream world is its own reality and i dont want to screw up the relationships in the dream reality. It is really wierd. I try to go off and have fun but i feel to bad that i smacked them and stuff. its really wierd. |

thats wierd because when i attain lucidity my DC look at me smiling like finally he relises. as if they new all along but cudent tell me lol |

You could turn there head into a pumpkin. They probably would ignore it but then at least you know you seriously are dreaming. |
To put it bluntly: get over it and don't worry. If you know you're dreaming you are no longer tied to social expectations and rules of engagement. Don't let your conscience make you paranoid. When you are lucid, remember that your are their creator - literally. You may not feel confident in the assumption that you are dreaming. But once you know you are there is no doubt so act as though there is, in fact, no doubt. |

TROGDOR! Burninating the whole town, burninating the peasants...Sorry, I couldn't resist. If my DCs try to convince me I'm not dreaming I just slap 'em upside the head. That'll teach them to contradict me! Basically, don't let them discourage you. I tend to think your subconcious mind tries hard to convince you it is real life; mine comes up with weird explanations for things that seem "iffy." |

Lucid Tasks: 14
Just remember your the guy in charge here, This is uber important. |

When a DC doesn't believe me all I do is start flying and they are in awe... |
Addicted to Lucid Dreaming....
Haha, exactly what I was going to say, and exactly what I did on my first lucid dream. The DCs got so surprised that their eyes literally jumped out of their face in a cartoon fashion when they saw me flying... lol. |

Try never to trust ANYONE that says your not dreaming, it has to come from yourself. I think they are saying that they don't believe you because you are expecting them to not believe you in a way. I can understand how it could get frustrating sometimes. Good to see your going lucid though and good luck. |
Who cares, anyway, that you DC know? I've had so far two LDs with characters, and I never told them it was a dream. I kind of feel it would ruin the fun! Am I the only one? |
Killing threads since 2002
No your not the only one, I'm the same and can't be bothered telling DC's that it's a dream because it's more fun that way being like neo or superman having powers but no one knowing and also don't want to waste my time trying to prove it. It's ok to try it once or twice though to see there reactions but after that I don't bother. |
Once my mum forced me to do an RC, and I thought I was awake, I quickly found out otherwise Thanks Mum! |
Since you've shown them things that can't happen in real life and they still don't believe you, it's probably because you [even subconsciously] expect them to deny all of it, it tends to happen and the only way you can do it is if you're really determined and confident to prove them wrong no matter how many times they say no because eventually they'll have to give up. |
This topic reminds me of the DCs in the gameboy game Link's Awakening. After Link discovers he is in a dream, he begins asking the DCs questions. "How long have I been on this island? Why would you ask a question like that?" |
