How many have stopped saying "i'm dreaming?"

Ok so I know lucid experiences appearantly you guys think you have to say to yourself "I'm dreaming" But I have been lucid dreaming all my life, and I just don't say that anymore. I merely realize where I am and that I can do whatever I please. If I wanted to think, "I am asleep" I suppose I could. But most of the time its, Here is where I am, I remember what I wanted to do, I can do it, thus I will do it. I just would like a definition of "if you are doing this/capable of doing this" lines that each one seperately means you are LDing if anyone has a list like that. Like, one line would be If you say, I am dreaming. Another might be If you say, don't wake up.

I don't think any particular phrase i just realise i'm dreaming and do whatever i please like u said. I think i did once i was learning to ld but not anymore.

I've only had 2 so far, but each time I just stopped and said "Wait, I'm dreaming." It's just like it hit me all of a sudden.

i dont have to tell myself i am dreaming, but sometimes i do it anywayz, it helps me focus and get my barrings

It has always been my habit to do a RC, puts me in control if I'm not 100% convinced that I'm dreaming.

It sucks though kindof. I forget about lucid dreaming alot, and end up just feeling like I'm a god, and can do whatever I desire...although I get rather caught up in the story of it all...Like last night I had a dream that I was in a parallel universe (actually I traveled to various ones last night) In this universe, control of reality was a given. Only some people had high/low control. This reality was one of a reality just like our own, only the difference was, if you were visiting this reality from another reality (in dream state) then you had more power. I have crazy dreams like this all the freaking time where I forget that its a lucid dream, and just realize I have ultimate power. Although I almost always remind myself not to wake up...which is a wierd habit of mine.

I offer up my LD side of life to this group based on my 35 years of LD experience. I dont 'think' I am lucid...I know I am lucid. I will be lucid 99% of the time that I dream. I can stand there in my LD, take the time to look around at my LD world, and choose to do ANYTHING that I wish to. Seeing that you are 16 or 17 years old, perhaps the term 'all of my life' would need be taken lightly in your case. You indeed have the gift to LD, so have I from a young age.. What I have found here at DV is a community of people from all over the world. Most of these members are 'veteran' Dreamnauts, but some are not. I have learned to be sensitive towards my DV family members that are not finding their way into LD'ing like you and I have. The reason that I/we continue to remind those members to say; "I am dreaming" is because that is how veteran lucid dreamers help others achieve that final moment when they are awake in the LD'ing wonderland. Well, I mean to the point of if you say to yourself or are able to say to yourself, I am dreaming, that would be one account of being lucid. The capability to say it is enough to consider yourself lucid according to some of the hings I have read. On the otherhand you could be considered not lucid if you have control of your dream, but it is only because you are dreaming that ou have control...without ever having a clue you were asleep. (example: Dreaming your a super hero or something) But now that I have thought about it, a clear definition isn't necessary, I now think that perhaps lucid dreaming can only be defined by the person having the dream. So a list would be ridiculous in one manor as to say it is the same for each individiual, while on the flip side, one could have a personal list that would be a benefit for the self when dreaming, because it is your belief.

I understand now Sandform...when a dream is going in a good direction, we go along for the ride without actually realizing we are lucid. The other side is the ability to find myself in a dream setting, conciously knowing that I am in a dream, and from that point on, doing what ever I want to.
