Dream Guide killed, what can I do?

So last night, I dreamt that I was in a dark city, in a dark alley. Now, as I avoid these places like the plague (cities and dark alleys!) I knew I was dreaming and got my bearings. My dream guide was at the end of the alley, lit up by a spotlight. I ran towards her but a guy who seemed to be made of shadows got there first and stabbed her repeatedly. When I tried to stop him, he hit me with a bolt of energy and I was somewhere where nothing existed but greyness.

Is there anything I can do to "resurrect" my dream guide? I know it might sound dumb, but, she has helped me out a lot in my dreams and it would be nice to return the favour of sorts.

Go to her grave or something, preferably she was buried in a light, happy place. And use your dream powers, or something of the sort. Or you can pull her energy from the air and put it into another lifeless DC, created in anyway you want, or back to her old self

Go to her grave, read some mystical latin words from an ancient book and pour holy water on it End it by shouting "Resurrect!"

She isn't really dead. "Willing" her back would be my guess ...

She's a figment of your imagination, as was the shadow. The sinister "vibes" of the alley probably caused you to expect something tragic to happen.
As for resurrection however, I'd suggest:

      1) Performing a makeshift ritual to bring her back.
      2) 245 - Trioxin, though she may try to eat your brain...
      3) Simply using logic to bring her back such as: "The Man Was made of SHADOW, SHADOW is INTANGIBLE so it couldn't have hurt her. Besides, she's an immortal."
      4) Go to the underworld and bring her back (it'd be a fun dream quest!).

Well inadvertently it happened to be the 4th one Drasnus. I went to resurrect her and it ended up with a trip to the underworld, although I was just planning a trip to the grave and resurrecting her. You're right, it was a fun dream quest!

Did you get her back in the end?

Sounds like a fun thing to do!

My thoughts is a dream guide is like data in a computer. Even if the graphics connected to that data is deleted, the data can still be recalled when needed.

If you willing your DG back he/she will probably not quite be the same, that's why you should do some sort of ritual or something. If you just willing him/her back your brain will object to this extremely unnatural way and something will go wrong.

Yes. I was in my local pub drinking when one of the barmen told me the only way to get her back was to go through a door and pointed at one. So I went through and there was a bright light filling the room with a console full of switches with people's names beside them, and my dream guide's name was one of the names, and her switch was in the "deactivated" position so I flicked it back up, had a fight with someone there, and ended up being sent to some kind of underworld, which I made my way back from, and when I did, I was reunited with my dream guide, who seemed more than overjoyed I'd got her back.

And despite the fighting and the underworld bit, it was a lot of fun. Getting out of the underworld certainly pushed my dream skills to their limits, and as I have all 5 senses in my dreams, hugs off my dream guide are always nice!

And yes, Dream Catch Me is an ace song! When I first heard it was when I was getting back into LDing, so it has stuck with me, and seemed very appropriate as a sig in this forum. Also happens to be me and my fiancee's song!

This is the fourth time she died? How'd she die the other three times?
