      The Best Lucid Sensations...

Contribute what you think are your favorite feelings, experiences, sensations etc that you can achieve in a Lucid Dream. The more impossible in real-life, the better...and maybe how, so we can all try them...

I personally enjoy...flying up to a height, maybe equivalent of a 6 story building and then just free-falling, but catching myself just before the ground. An awesome rush...

One of the weirdest sensations I have, besides flying, is passing through objects or letting objects pass through me. One example is the glass of water sensation, i.e. passing my hand through a glass full of water. The mind makes it (seem) real — the central part of my hand feels the water, and at the edges I feel the glass.

The strangest feeling was stepping into a mirror and looking back through it.

It's strange what your mind thinks up for the feeling of being inside a mirror.

For me it fels wobbly and....just weird !

I love the feeling just before a lucid dream starts - that strange tingling, rushing sensation thats almost like an orgasm. My favourite sensation was being on a cart that was going full tilt down a hill. Could feel the wind in my hair and every bump in the road.

I'll second the mirror one. Passing through any object is cool, but the feeling of passing through a mirror is just delicious.

This morning I had a big yellow balloon attached to my neck carry me around, floating over forests and lakes. It was one of the best lucid experiences I've had so far.

Flying is awesome too but this was more gentle. I could take in the scenery with ease. I have problems doing that with flying cause I go so fast.
How I discover what my dreams are about

In my last lucid dream I made pink sparks between my palms. I was trying to make a white ball of energy...

      Inside a brain

In a recent LD, I put my right hand through a DC's head, and got the feeling of his brain.

Shapeshifting... Definately shapeshifting... In one dream I was a anthro (stands on two legs) dragon. Everything (seemed) completley real. I could feel my wings, tail, and the rough scales that covered me. It was exhilirating and somewhat horrifying at the same time... Easily the biggest slap in the face dream sign i've ever had.

Another time a (unseen) force in my dream changed me into the demon god Janemba. (The guy in my avatar and sig). That was interesting, and somewhat disturbing, I was myself, but somehow tainted by the power I had been given. I shapeshift a lot in dreams, but it's these two dreams specificly that stand out. I really can't put into words how these dreams make me feel. It's one of those dream only emotions. It's like pain, joy, remorse, and a strange feeling of belonging all rolled into one... It's bittersweet for me I guess.

      Absolute love.
I had a dream where i laid beside someone in the grass and it was the most amazing sensation I'd never felt before.

      Pure rage.
It's like a jolt lava momentarily bursting through the entire body and I become invincible.

      Completly relaxed free falling.

I once threw myself down some stairs, and it felt so good lol, it was fun, no pain involved.

Touch in general feels greatly expanded from what i feel in real life.

      Dancing.

In dreams it feels so liberating (similar to flying). At the same time I'm always amazed at my own mind how it's able to reproduce music exactly as if I was listening to the radio.

Yeh i find that amazing too. I was in this pub the other day and hot stuff was playing in the background exactly as in real life.

As for the dancing i don't think i have ever danced in a lucid dream.
I will have to change that.

      Hmm..

Having the power of the Avatar, Complete control over all four elements, shooting fire bolts out my hands, Manipulating water and creating enormouse tsunamis, Taping into the immense power of the earth, and even using the element Air to create a tornado to fling me up thousands of feet into the air then soaring over the carabian sea.. I felt so powerfull and special.. and the sensation they gave off was so real. i felt the heat on my hands, the wieght of the Earth, The stimulating and relaxing sounds and feeling of the water streaming around my body, and the loud powerfull rush of the Air Thundering past my ears as i Flew at incredible speads over the vivid crystal clear blue sea.. Absalutly amazing.

I love the senstation of breathing water. How it is heavy and warm. For some reason whenever I breath water in my LDs I always get this odd sort of homesick feeling -- melancholy and sweet at the same time. I wonder what that is.

I also love the feeling of flying through storm clouds; feeling the water droplets stinging my skin, the piercing cold, the wind buffeting me, my hair wet and wipping in the wind, all of it!

Making a tornado disolve also was amazing. Not being sure I would be able to do it, then the vibrations through my whole body, the electric releif of sucess.

Love. Love is so, so, so much stronger in my dreams. Not to say I love my Love less while I'm awake. It's just that I don't think my waking mind would fully be able to comprehend that much love.
      It's... amazing.

I think there's a good chance that the homesick,melancholy/sweet feeling you get when you breath water is probably due to you remembering being in the womb - when you're in the womb you breathe amniotic fluid, and I think for most babies, being in the womb is a pleasant experience, all warm and weightless and cozy and safe. The sensation of breathing water in your dream (which is obviously the only place you can do it) probably makes some part of you remember being in that warm, safe place, breathing the amniotic fluid and dreaming (they say fetuses do dream), waiting to be born

That sounds so wonderful. I haven't lucid dreamed yet, but this thread is making me want to experience it so badly! I know one of the first things I'll try is not flying, but swimming underwater, breathing. Then maybe some dancing, because I tend to be so nervous about it in real life, one of the few things i have confidence issues about. Who knows, maybe doing it in my dreams will help
Thank you so much for sharing!! I can't wait until I have my own experiences to add.

My absolute favorite lucid dreaming feeling would have to be in a WILD right before you enter the dream. The shift for me feels like I'm melting or I'm an egg and I've been cracked. Sweet
