Smile Yeah! My First Lucid Dream!

After about two weeks of trying I finally had a lucid dream!

This morning I woke up and decided to try a WBTB WILD combination. I tried WILD for about an hour and just gave up and went to sleep.

I woke up later and went back asleep again. Then, in my dream I got out of bed and decided to do a nose rc, and it worked! I was like, what the hell I can breathe! I finally understood that I was dreaming and it started to fade away so I rubbed my hands together, and that worked pretty well.

I jumped through my window and ended up in this weird grassy place that was pretty fuzzy and unclear. After walking around for a while I found a staircase leading to a door. I said to myself that there would be a hot girl on the other side, and there was (why did I try this first instead of flying?). Then the dream faded and I woke up.

The whole dream was not very real and had graphics similar to those of the N64. Will later lucid dreams be better and feel more real (more vivid)? Were your first lucid dreams like this? I feel like I should be happy for having my first lucid but it was so unreal that I don't feel that exited.

O well, it was still cool.

The few that I have had have always been extremely vivid and real. I have been amazed of how real everything looks; I can even see fingerprints. But one of my lucid goals is to dream in cartoons
My new lucid dreaming blog. It has a very pretty background!

Two weeks was how long it took me, too.

When it happened I tried the finger through palm RC and I couldn't do it. I was annoyed that it failed, as I knew I was dreaming. So I did a nosepinch instead and that worked.

Dumb ole' finger through palm not workin'! I guess I must have expected it to fail.

Everything was fairly nonrealistic for me, too. Whatever I looked at was normal, but everything else was pretty blurry. It didn't occur to me to try spinning.

My first lucid dream was when I just said, "Hey, I'm dreaming!" That was basically my entire dream. I could tell because I was standing in a pure white area...
I have no pain, no sorrow, no sadness. But, alas, I too have no pleasure, no happiness, no joy. I live a life of no regrets.

I can't remember my first LD since I was about 6 but my LDs are usually exactly like real life except I usually don't recall them being that vivid so each lucid dream I'm like "woah! I forgot that LDs were vivid"

Everything makes sense once you stop thinking about it

Thats fully normal I think. You know. I had also one dream. It actually started when i played one GameBoy style game. And the graphic got better and better, and then i found myself in dream graphics. That was superb. It was not lucid, still. I like that dream as it shows, how starting visualiser can get better at imagery.

      Your dreams will get better.

Well, since it was your first LD, you were probably very excited, so the dream might have been starting to become fuzzy or blurry because you were close to waking up.
      While sleeping, watch.

Congrats Quiksilver! Keep at it, you can do even better!

My first LD was about the day I joined. I lost lucidity in like 10 seconds, but the vividness was good.

For my dreams, there's many "styles". Sometimes I'll dream like things are a cartoon, or videogame-like in appearance. But mostly things look pretty real. A few lucid dreams I remember was just marveling at how absolutely detailed everything was. Once I just hunkered down on a carpeted floor and was astonished that I could see all the little fibers of the rug. Another time I was in a sunny, grassy area with tons of spiderwebs everywhere.
I'm sure your LD's will become more detailed. The N64 graphics probably just happened to be a random thing.
