if spinning doesn't work try rubbing your hands together |

hey is there a trick to this or does it just not work for some ppl. i had a short LD lastnigt. i was LD then im like ok this is cool and i was so scared of loosing it but i remained calm and i was in a mall that had a roof and i wanted to fly so i spun around cuz i wanted to remain lucid and see if id end up in a new place and it was just all black then i cant remember wat happend but i wasnt lucid any longer and i was in another dream where i wasnt lucid |

Try repeating "I am dreaming" as you spin. That way if it happens again you will remain lucid. |

I did this once and it worked for me--I could feel I was waking up, so I closed my eyes in the dream and just kind of mentally spun, while saying to myself "high level lucidity," and it brought me back into the dream much more lucid. It was the first time I ever tried a technique like that in a dream. |

If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama
Yeah I've never actually physically spun around in circles while I was dreaming...for me its more of a mental spinning and it usually works. Of course, sometimes I have spun myself completely awake. Think I'll try the verbal commands method next time...that is, if I remember. |

just spin around and keep on spinning ... |

I tried focusing on an object before in a dream, it mind me go blind inside the dream. I tried spinning also and it didn't really work all that great either. |

i asked the exact same question (nearly) in dream control. just find something that works for you, there are heaps of methods... its not limited to spinning. (depending on whether you're increasing clarity/lucidity or just changing scenes.) |

I spilled spot remover on my dog. He's gone now.
