Omnipresent Voices

I haven't posted a thread in a while so I thought I'd go for it and share my method of achieving lucidity last night I am walking along in a pretty long and intricate dream, and as I am crossing a street I hear my mom's voice go "Dreaming.... REALITY check!" with a huge emphasis on reality check. Now, nothing since the beginning of the dream had been related to lucid dreaming and my mom wasn't even on my mind when it happened. In my non lucid state, I kept walking, annoyed that she was distracting me from the task I was focused on. But then I started to reason with myself, "Well, I really ought to do a reality check whenever I hear 'reality check'", so I looked at my hand and course if was complete deformed! Yay So I am just curious, do you ever hear omnipresent voices in your dreams? When my mom and I are together I am always trying to catch her in REM and whisper into her ear for her to do a RC. I actually woke up from this dream expecting her to be leaning over me, and I was totally confused to find I was in my dorm room hundreds of miles away. Even while lucid I didn't realize that it was just her voice issuing from my crazy dream landscape, not someone actually whispering into my ear! She was in town visiting yesterday for the day, but left six hours before I even went to sleep, 10 hours before my lucid. I'm going to have to make her drive across the state more often

My subconscious was telling me how to stay lucid once. It was weird.

Sometimes I have narrators in my dreams, usually explaining things that I haven't directly seen in my dreams, like sort of a backstory.

Oh yes, well... I dunno if omnipresent on the outside of the room I was in, but it was everywhere in the room, it was a really loud and annoying person, so I kicked him <.<

Hopefully mine will stay helpful, or I'll have to start finding out how to silence them like you did Did you get yelled at for kicking it? I can just hear a huge omnipresent "OWWWW!" hahaha

Oh it said it would kill me, then fell and got hit by a car XD, rest of the dream was silent.
