I second archdreamer's suggestion. Incorporate those questions into your reality check process. Make it into habit.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't need to remind myself what I wanted to do. The one lucid-ish dream I had last year (basically, I knew it was a dream, and I could do some stuff, but couldn't really make what I wanted to happen happen) it was the first thing I thought of!

after reading your answers I started to think about my plans as I used to RC during day (I'm not performing RC's by now since I just started to realize I'm dreaming)
What happened was that the first LD I had after doing that, I remembered to do a thing I wanted to do a very long time ago because of the dream context! The next one, I was not able to stabilize myself into the dream because of I decided to RC by flying due to the dream context again!
anyway, I will keep in mind during all day what I want to do, may be next dream I will finally remember what I planned.
      thanks for the answers

I agree with conncecting the thoughts of your wanted actions with your RCs. That is a supurb idea.

For me, every time I think of LDing, I think about what I want to do in a LD. More times than not, I can remember them almost as soon as I enter the lucid state. Now actually performing them is an entirely different situation *sigh*

Unless you have a monthly achievement you want to accomplish, I wouldnt worry about it. Whatever you think of during the dream is going to be 100x better than "pre-meditated".

I think this is kind of point!
Usually, once I woke up from the LD, I realize there were more things I was able to do but I didn't think about those things due to I was trying to (i.e.) control the DC's around in order to stabilize myself in the dream (bad idea) or I had the "great" idea to RC by flying! I ended up crashing-crossing through the walls of the city. When finally I was able to control my gravity I woke up from the dream and... What the hell I was thinking about to RC by flying!! (taking into account that I use to RC by hand checking into reality)
Then, I think to myself, next time, the first thing I want to do is to stabilize myself in the dream no matter the subject of the dream before going on with any exploration. But next time I had an LD, it happens again, I go on with the context of the dream and once I wake up I notice that I was able to do better things.

I mean a monthly goal, you know, get your wings under your name? Unless your doing that, then I would just go with the flow. Because if you cant remember what you wanted to do its not that important. And if you really want to get somewhere ask a DC what you were going to do, DC's always ALWAYS stir shit up. No one here can increase the power of your hippocampus if thats what your asking.

      hummm...
yeah, may be next time I will try to talk with DC's in stead of trying to take them off... hope I will remember to do that!
Let's see what happens next time.
