Yea, I think it comes from your subconscious memory of the song which is always so much better than your consciousness memory to the point of perfect accuracy if your familiar with the song. I love it when it happens though. :-) |

Recently i've had a couple of lucids about music, around a week ago i was about to play basketball in a lucid, and suddenly right before i was about to shoot the ball, i thought about mr.perfect's theme song, and it started playing! There was no radio or anything that plays music. It was all coming from my head or something, then last night i had a lucid. Me and my brother were watching tv, and something came on, then out of no where the million dollar man's song started playing! Has anybody elese been able to do something like this? Like think of a song in a lucid, and it just starts playing? |

I think it's your mind telling you to lay off the 80's pro-wrestling. |

I am the DREAMJUMPER
well, when i'm trying to WILD i'll forget completly about my surroundings, even my own body it's like i'm some different kind of entity. |
|
Dripping time into a seed that grows into the world and sprouts a fruit that ripens into humans. They stretch up into the sky looking for purpose, wandering when and if their time has come. Realizing the potential they have, they select their paths which weave in and out to make the good and the bad, the pure and the corrupt...
I had a lucid once where I was in my parents' house (and outside) and the whole time the song "The Bird and the Worm" by The Used was playing. Also, like Proxide I'll have random songs pop into my head when I'm trying to WILD. They aren't songs I've heard before or they are songs I've heard before but with random lyrics. I always want to get up and write them down or record them, but I never want to break my WILD attempt enough to do so. |

I've had many dreams involving music...yet its almost as if I am the one playing it and I wake up saying, "Damn that song was incredible! But there is no way that I can remember how it went!!" and I go about my day trying to remember it. |
|
Well, has anyone ever heard music in their heads that they didn't even recognize? As if maybe their minds were making it all up completely? I THINK it might have happened a few times, but i don't know jack shit about the language of music, so it was hopeless to try and 'write it down' |

I am the DREAMJUMPER
I've definitely experienced that as well. I had a dream where one of my friends was playing the coolest guitar solo I've ever heard but I couldn't remember it at all when I got up. I've also had songs with lyrics in my dreams that I've never heard before. Usually all I remember of them when I wake up is that the lyrics didn't make any sense. |

I spontaneously break into song in a lot of my lucid dreams. I don't sing in real life, and can't stand to watch musicals. For some reason, in my lucid dreams I get so emotional I just start belting out opera. For me, it has a lot to do with the power of the dream, and becoming swept up in the emotion. |

yea you hear alot of weird things when you WILD. I often hear monks chanting or celestial opera's, or weird soundscapes as lseadragon mentioned, or just a single note which seems to be more than a single note, it has a feeling to it as well and it slowly disgresses into other notes, like frequencies... and it corresponds directly to my state of mind, I can influence it with my mind but I don't always think about that or try to do that. I'm sure others have done this too? |
