What were your experiences with mirrors in dreams?

My first one was in a lucid dream were i wanted to crawl in it and see whats beyond, but the mirror was too small like 20cm² and the reflection was blurry and i coudnt even get my arm thru it.

My second one was kinda a vision of myself in the future, i hadnt had my hair cut for a few months and when i looked in the mirror (in the dream) i looked differently and it didnt made any sense at the time but 2 weeks later it did when i got my hair cut and i looked exacly the same as i did in my dream.

The 3rd i was lucid again and as i looked at myself in the mirror, my eyes had a dark aura flowing infront of them, it was realy cool.

The 4th i wasnt lucid and was washing my face and i began swinging my arms and my reflection just stood there looking at me with an angry killer face full of hate

      Thats all i can remember

I've had many experiences with mirrors in dreams.

I remember one very clearly. I think it was a "task of the month" a while ago, maybe before I even joined, when I used to just lurk. But anyway, when I became lucid, I walked into my bathroom and looked in the mirror. The task was to pull yourself out of the mirror. Well, instead of pulling myself out, I pulled my 8yr old daughter out. It was very strange. She looked all deformed, and for a split second, I freaked out, then realized I could change her. So, I threw her back into the mirror. I was again looking at myself.

The most recent mirror dream I had wasn't lucid. I was looking into a large mirror, trying to fix my hair. My nose looked weird, and my eyes were larger than usual. I then noticed that behind me Orson Welles was filiming me. I turned around, but no one was there. I looked back into the mirror, and there he was again, moving closer towards me in a freakish kind of way. I got scared, closed my eyes, then woke up.

Gee, I could go on forever about mirror dreams I've had, but I won't.

I used a mirror once after I got a little bit lucid, to look at myself while trying to make my appearance just right. I got caught up in trying to mold my image and fell back out of control.

Many experiences with mirrors, all lead just to a perfect reflection of me in the mirror... kinda boring I know.
Silly dreams that make sense <.<
Oh also, when I'm in a mirror I like to practice morphing and body magick, so play with myself and see how I look like lol

I rarely encounter mirrors in my LDs. For a task of the month a while ago I pulled out my reflection and questioned it. I've never done much else with a mirror in LDs.

Yeah the task of the month and the reflection.
I've looked in the mirror and my teeth started falling out and decaying my gums started turning rotten etc.
I've looked in the mirror and saw myself as a sort of anime character with long blonde pointy locks pierced ears very muscular I looked like a badass.
I've looked in the mirror and seen nothing just empty space. I've looked in the mirror and seen a passage to another world.
I've looked in the mirror and seen other people another world it was like the mirror was a window.

I could really go on for quite some time. These are just a few things though.

I'm usually a different person. But it happens very rarely that I look in a mirror in a dream.

I usually just walk past mirrors. No notable or even noticable changes. Though I induced my 1st lucid with one. I noticed in a space where there was supposed to be a window, there was a door, and the window next to it lead to black nothingness. Everyone in my house was behaving erratically. So I decided to look in the mirror. In my reflection, I was shorter, had another haircut, and was wearing a shirt that I loved back when I was 8. At that point, I did a nose RC, and became lucid. Other than the above, everything was normal. I then walked into my living room, sat down, closed my eyes, and awoke !

I encountered a mirror last night. I walked into a dance studio that had a whole wall of mirrors. My reflection looked weird. I didn't pay much attention to it except to be surprised how yellow my hair was and that my face looked strange. I was already lucid, so the reflection wasn't a big surprise.

The first time I looked in a mirror in a LD, I saw my refeection, but it looked like a Vincent Vangouh painting, almost cartoonish like in that movie "Waking Life". One of my eyes was beady, just a black circle. And the mirror kept waving like an ocean current. The second time I remember I looked in a mirror as a reality check, and my reflection seemed very dark. Basically, I looked like shit. Very malnourished, skin and bones, and I had very dark circles under my eyes. It looked like I had just risen from the dead. that's it for me.
Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead...only try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

I remember one of the first lucids I'd had, I'd read beforehand about an experiment with lucid dreamers to try and go through a mirror. So in my dream, I found my bathroom mirror, and pulled myself into it. Came out the otherside in a swimming pool, underwater, but breathing fine.

Another, more recent time, I looked into a mirror and had clowns make-up on. Giant red nose, white face paint, the lot. When I noticed this, my reflection's face turned to one of pure anger, which kinda freaked me out a bit. Then I just went about fulfilling my dream role as a clown doctor....

I've also had a few times of looking in mirrors and seeing my teeth all rotting and falling out and stuff, which is always quite a mind freak.

I've only encountered two mirrors so far in my lucid experiences. The first time i looked into it while having a conversation with my "DG" my reflection was standing with his hands in his pocket and a jacket on, he was wearing the hood over his head letting it fall down past his eyes, he kind of just stood there like a shady character would. The second time was when i had my first WILD. I couldn't move my mouth very well and was wondering what was wrong with it.. So i looked into the mirror and i had some kind of strange braces on that wouldn't let my mouth shut (when i woke i noticed that my mouth was open the whole time)

I think the most interesting experience i've had with a mirror was on mushrooms tho. I looked into the mirror to see myself standing wild eyed shirtless with tribal markings all over my face and body. :} i thought that was the coolest thing ever.
I lurk. Sometimes I greet people too.

I have walked through mirrors on several occasions. Each time, it seemed as though I was caught in some sort of an energy flow, as though I was flying but on some powerful wind.

      Usually no change

Sometimes I'll remember that my hair was a little bit redder, or my eyes were a different colour, or that I was wearing something that I don't own anymore. But while I've heard that mirror images can be blurry, distorted, or frightening, generally for me they aren't very different from reality. I just see myself and think, "Oh, I look normal, I must not be dreaming." I'm trying to get into the habit of really studying my reflection each time I see it. I've never considered going through a mirror or pulling my reflection out. I'll have to remember to try it sometime.

Last night when I WILDed I looked in a mirror which was my first time and saw the exact reflection, just like you talked about, "Waking Life". Then became more weird and I saw hundreds of reflections of mine, mirror in a mirror in a mirror...

Good topic, I think. On at least two occasions I've looked into the mirror in dreams and have seen a middle-aged man with red hair and a red beard, not unlike Bob Ross. A couple of other times I've looked into mirrors and seen a distorted version of myself, which then induced lucidity. In one dream I remember my mother warning me not to look into the mirror in the bathroom because I "wouldn't be able to handle the effect."

I had an OBE tonight which gave me a bit of trouble determining my status. I looked into a mirror and saw myself exactly as I do in consensus reality.

      Here's the full story.

I remember only one time where I saw myself in a dream mirror but my reflection looked really evil. It really creeped me out.

whenever i wild I end up in my room and there's a bathroom across the hall. I think i'll try it next time.

A couple of years ago i had this dream where i was laying on my stomach in my real bed, except, there was this big mirror on the left side of the bed. I opened my eyes and looked at the mirror, and there was someone sitting on me. Then i just woke up.

I looked into a mirror and started tripping on acid in one dream. I must have made some connection about how you're not supposed to look at yourself in a mirror if you trip on acid.

I looked into a mirror and walked through it in another dream. That one had some sex in it. Good dream.

I don't remember seeing myself in a reflection ever, though. Maybe I'll start paying more attention to it in the future.
