Strange Way That I Have Been Becoming Lucid Lately

Okay, so in the past week or so this has happened multiple times, sometimes even multiple times in one night. Basically what has happened is that Ihave become lucid through going to sleep within a dream. I don't know what has triggered it, but I think that my complete failure over the past month or two of WILDing has contributed to it.

Basically what happens is that I will be in a dream, and for whatever reason decide to go to sleep. Then, in my dream, I will try to WILD. After a very short period of time I start to feel feelings that I read are supposed to happen while doing a WILd, entering sleep paralysis, etc. Next thing I know, a dream within a dream starts wherein I am lucid.

Something else that has happened as a result of this is that when I wake up into my original dream, which I guess would be a FA, and then become lucid as a result of waking up. Maybe it is because I was just lucid before and it is continuing, or I might simply realize I am dreaming more easily.

I guess what this post is really about is that I was wondering if anybody else has experienced this. It could be a new technique with a ridiculous acronym...FLDITILD (Failed Lucid Dream Induction Technique Induced Lucid Dream). JK. Haha.

But seriously...this happen to anybody else?

EDIT: Oh, and of course, feel free to comment even if it hasn't happened to you

Sounds like the ultimate insurance policy. If you fail one dream you have a second chance.

I don't count these as true lucids because they where not very clear, but until I have my first real lucid these will do.)

Yea, some people have had DILDs this way. Usually they intentionally go through the 'WILD process' in a lucid dream to change dream locations. Congrats on the DILDs

Awesome! I have never done this before but it seems like a good way to get lucid. Actually now that I think about it.... I may have done this a couple of times without noticing. I have a lot of FA's so I may attempt to WILD when I am actually already in a dream

Wow, it sounds like you have completely confused yourself Not that that is a bad thing. If it works, stick with it.

Since I started thinking about what was actually going on, I realized that I think WILDing is acting sort of like a reality check, resulting in the LDs. Every night before I've gone to bed for the past month or so I have layed down and tried to WILD. I know that this really isn't the best way to do it, and that you should do it in the middle of the night or whatever, but since I'm stubborn I thought I'd try anyway. Since I've gotten so accustomed to doing it before going to sleep, I guess the activity just transferred into my dreams, where no effort is need to WILD. Whatever works, haha.
