Over the past couple of years I've had this strange phenomenon that occurs sometimes. If I'm laying in bed, going to sleep, and I happen to be somewhat in that "not yet asleep, but still not awake" phase and, let's say the circuit breaker (which is just next to my bed) clicks on and makes this loud buzz sound for just a second, this strange black-and-white visual shoots across my vision. It looks like this square spiral pattern of black and white, and it appears only for a second (often times pulsating very rapidly with the sound of the buzz) and then I jolt awake. |

TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!

you are, in a way, dreaming, I believe. You are in the state before full-on sleep but you're not completely awake, right? I get this a lot. Kinda freaky sometimes. I'll be sorta concious of real life but yet slipping ino dreamland. I will suddenly hear a realistic sounding voice or see an image. It's weird, but I read about it somewhere. I think it's pretty normal and just a stage of falling asleep |

I'm assuming that this doesn't happen to you with other sounds? Because if you find that it does you may have synesthesia... one variation of which is what The Cusp described except in a natural, mental format, basically seeing things in response to hearing things. |
