      When I tried to remember things in LDs I usually remembered them incorrectly. Not that I realized it at the time, but after waking up it became obvious.

      Replaying a memory could probably work in a correct way, because you knew what you were going to replay before falling asleep and so you're ready to repeat it "by heart".

      Then it's better be done in a state when your mind is not so messed up as in LDs, imho. In LDs you "know" that your memory is correct, only to wake up and understand that your feelings were deceiving you. In waking when you "know" that your memory is correct, it's a reliable feeling.
