      Adressing your lucid dream

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, I am currently reading Robert Waggoner's Lucid dreaming - a gateway to the inner self. For me, this book is really special because it doesn't deal with just manipulating your lucid dreams but going behind the LD and trying to find the source of it all. So, in one of the chapters, he gives a really interesting advice - to try to adress your lucid dream itself instead of just interacting with DCs. So I had a really vivid WILD last night and I remembered this and I asked my dream - Please show me something that is very important for me to see. And then, out of thin air, appeared a black girl, very young, dressed in white with a very interesting dragon pendant (half moon shaped, decorated with red diamonds) around her neck. Then we went flying around and talking. I knew I didn't have much time so I asked her to tell me about herself and why is she appearing in my dreams. She told me some stuff about LDs and her experiences with dreaming. But our conversation didn't last long because some kind of dream police was chasing us and we had to hide (altought it would me much better if I remembered to confront them rather than hide). I hope I get another chance to talk to this DC again. So, this was just an experiment but I would suggest it to everybody - just talk to your dream and see what is has to show you. Good luck

Wow that's extremely interesting! Maybe the girl was your dream guide? Or maybe a manifestation of your subconscious mind itself! I can't wait to try this!!! If you try asking you're dream that question again, make sure to post the results. It would be very interesting if the same girl appeared!

I'm glad you found this interesting Robert Waggoner also mentions some Jungian ideas in this book - such as the anima, the other, darker side of a person's counsciousness. Maybe the girl from this dream representa my anima od maybe she is my dream guide as you've mentioned. I'm only sorry I didn't talk to her about the dragon pendant - it seemed very interesting to me and caught my attention but I lost my focus trying to stay lucid. I'll try this trick again and I'll keep you posted

When you say the darker side of a person's consciousness is it a kind of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde idea, like we are split into a good side and a bad side?

@HeavySleeper - no, I dodn't have Jekyll and Hyde in mind Here's a brief explanation of the term anima/animus I found on wikipedia:

It can be identified as the totality of the unconscious feminine psychological qualities that a male possesses; or the masculine ones possessed by the female. The anima is an archetype of the collective unconscious...

You can find more about thid on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anima_and_animus

      Enjoy

Oh right, thanks for explaining it. That is interesting. I think it's really strange that the anima/animus of a male would be mostly feminine and the female's would be mostly masculine.

That is really interesting. I like the concept of talking to your dream instead of the people. It's very smart, I'll have to try it.

Without trying to be to curious, what did the girl tell you?

      OMG, so trying.

I will try as soon as I can, and post my attempt here
If you see a strange typo in my post, blame my iPad for that.
