Hello lovelies.
This is my absolutely favorite and most wonderful time of the year.
I'm sure all, or most of you are familiar with the story of A Christmas Carol?
If not, then you can get a general idea of the story from here: Ebenezer Scrooge
My Christmas Lucid Challenge, should anyone be interested in accepting is this...
Meet the Ghost of Christmas Past, and have them show you something about your past, something that affected you in a negative way, and caused you to grow into a person that still retains this negative quality.
(oh, and they don't have to be all negative, you can see lovely things from your past too if you like, but if you are shooting for the "revelation" then its important to see the negative things too)
...then
Meet the Ghost of Christmas Present, and have them show you what your life is like in the present, maybe how some of the stuff from your past affects who you are now, what you want to change, etc.
...finally
Meet the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come, and have them show you what your life would be like if you do not chance or grow at all from the person you are now, what would you be like when you are old and die? Who will care?
The whole point of this is to have some sort of revelation about your life, like Scrooge did. If you are willing to put in the time and effort, I bet we could get some amazing stories that I am really looking forward to reading!
And all three ghosts don't have to visit in the same night...they can be spaced out any nights...but try to have all 3 ghosts visit by Christmas Morning.
I realize it's a tough challenge, but I know we have some incredible LDers on this site...so have fun with it! And Merry Christmas!
edit: oh and I was inspired to make this challenge after being visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past last night. It was my little dog, that we got on Christmas, 16 years ago. This will be the first Christmas we've had without him in 16 years...but maybe he showed up anyway. It was wonderful, he showed me things from my past. I love the little guy.
