You shouldn't really have to "pick" anyone. Remember DCs are not real people. They have the same basic properties as any other dream entity. Plants, animals, inanimate objects, and even yourself, can all be modified as you see fit, provided you're lucid. You could create an entire room full of DC's fit to be your dream guide.
Maybe one of my goals should be to create a crowd of people who are self-aware, and therefore bow to me as their god.
