My first (5) lucid dreams! Easy!

Last night was pretty interesting. It started with me and a false awakening. Except during the false awakening, it didn't appear to be as real as reality, it was just like any normal dream. Anyways, i noticed something odd during the false awakening and it PASSED the reality check! Lol. Anyways, woke up from that no big deal.

The time I went to bed at that night was approx. 11:00. I woke up at 4:45 to attempt to do an OBE (it was during one of my REM cycles so I assumed it'd be a good time to try, had vibrations twice but no OBE). Anyways, when I gave up on that I just thought I'd try to lucid dream for the first time for the fun of it. Before I fell asleep I repeated that I would be aware I was dreaming like 5-10 times. It's pretty hard to remember all of this stuff right now since it was all so unclear. The next thing I knew, I was in a dream. I was like wow this is cool! I can't remember what this dream was but i knew I had multiple lucid dreams last night.

Note: I never experienced sleep paralysis or halucinations during this whole thing. Just went straight to my dream (or that's what I remember anyways)

The experience (you can skip this if you want):

The only dream I really remember was me appearing in a mansion. I tried making a girl i wanted to "see" ( you know what I mean) appear and it didn't work. I just went along the hallway. I noticed my family sitting in these leather chairs in a circle watching something. None of them noticed me. I walked up a staircase to my room (I don't know how i knew it was my room since I've never been here before) and in there were 3 kittens. 2 of the smaller ones had this thing where their neck would jerk their heads up really hard for some reason that i don't know. The other one was named something I can't remember but he cuddled with me a while lol. That's when I woke up!

      Questions:

Everything I experienced last night was pretty unclear. I am wondering how can I make this experience more real? Like as real as this reality is? And how do I go from a lucid dream to an OBE? If any of you can help me that'd be great!

What reality check do you do? Personally the: 'Hold your nose and close your mouth and try to breath in' has worked with 100% correct results for me, because your breathing in your dream is the same of that in real life, so when you try and breath in, you still can (in lucids) because it's only your dream hand that's closing your nose.

FA's aren't always more vivid than normal dreams, it's just that you're normally quite close to waking up so you can recall them more vividly.

There's a few tricks to increase how realistic a LD is, a few that have worked quite well for me are:

      Rub your hands together.
      Spin in a circle.
Use as many senses as you can: look around, listen to everything, touch everything.
Try to increase your 'lucidness' convince yourself that everything around you is in your imagination and that you're in fact lying in bed, even try and work out what time of day it actually is and where you actually are.

Best of luck with future LD's. Glor

Check out stabilizing your dream in the tutorials under resourses, it will help increase vividness. And it may be unclear because you need to improve your recall. Maybe?
