      Recurring DC..?

For the past five or so years I have had dreams with a specific DC. He hasn't been in every single dream I've had, but ever since sometime in middle school he has made appearances. He still has not told me his name, so I ended up giving him one. He very rarely speaks and I don't often get a good look at his face, but I always have a sense that he's a friend- certainly not from any nightmare. I think one time a while ago he said he was there to protect me or something, but I wasn't as interested in dreams then so my memory of it is fuzzy. He's just always been around and when I dream of him, they are good dreams.

The weirdest part of it though, is that he only shows up when I am not LDing. This is frustrating to me because I want to talk to him. It would be interesting to hear what this DC would say. When I have a LD, I might call for him or try to make him appear, but it never works even though I'm usually okay at that sort of dream skill.

Is my subconsious trying to create something to personify itself? Or does he represent something else? I've always been a bit of a hopeless romantic at heart, so maybe he is filling a void..? Any opinions or advice on this will be greatly appreciated. This is something I've wondered about for a long time, although I certainly don't mind hanging out with my dream buddy! Haha.

That's really nice. I bet you will talk to him in an LD one of these days. He might be a dream guide of some sort. Sometimes they can be stubborn or shy but they will come to you when you are ready. For now you can always no you have a friend which might be why he exists.

Shy and stubborn? Yup. Sometimes I swear he's playing hide and seek. I've heard of dream guides, but they always seemed a little too supernatural for me. But who knows? I guess I should do a little research, since this dude is pretty much the reason I signed up here lol.

I have a recurring DC in my dream for years, but i know it's not a guide, it was someone i knew at middle school (grade 7-9) and we both were innocent first loves and had a connection between us, mostly telepathic. I moved away, and lost his contact ever since, i know his name but can't find him in real life, like facebook, etc. SO i continue having him coming in my dreams, most of the time it's unexpected, and sometimes i summon him or call him to appear and he does. So maybe it's someone from your middle school giving you messages through dreams.
