is it real or just part of the dream?

ive had this dream ever since i first moved into my second house. ive never beleived in ghosts. or any shit like that. but its driving me crazy and i need some answers. i can be in any dream. happy or scary. and then i just stop, its a 3rd person view right behind my head showing me laying in bed. im awake with my eyes open, i try to move but this tingling feeling keeps me in place, i try to talk and the only thing that happens to me is i inhale and i cant say anything, when i wake up from these i take a huge breath and realize it looks excactly like when i try to talk in the dream. i dont now wat this is but itd be nice if someone could relate to my dreams

It sounds to me like you may have had an out of body experience.

Do you suffer from asthma? Maybe something is hampering your breath in the new house (new bed/pillow as well?), and it is waking you up like that. It could be an allergy, or maybe even stress related. Other than that, you might just be improving with lucid dreaming, and starting to have some out of body dreams.

asthma yes. lived in this house for 11 years. nothing new. and its happened over a long span of time so i guess i was improving but never improved after that

It could have been many things, OBE, WILD or a SP. But don't be surprised that you can do this all at once. If you can then all power to you!

What you experienced is called, Hypnagogic sleep or sleep paralysis, a very common event that is caused due to your body being still asleep while your brain is awake. While you are asleep, your brain causes your body to become rather paralysed to prevent you acting out in real life what you are dreaming in the Rapid eye Cycle of dreaming. When this natural restriction on moment while dreaming does not work as it should, you get events like sleep walking or even trying to strangle your partner who you might think an enemy in your dreaming state of consciousness.

Sometimes Hypnagogic sleep is a precursor to an out of body experience, but not the actual Out of body event that can follow if you know the technique to create one.
