A friend who needs some help

Hello, i have a friend who is having reoccurring nightmares, i know that lucid dreaming can help with this but i was wondering how? She doesnt really know what lucid dreaming is but i told her that it can help and gave her a short explanation. So does anyone know how to prevent nightmares easily?

if she is on any meds this could be causing them. if she is going through a lot of stress this helps cause them too. ways to help prevent them can be easy or hard, depending on the person. it will help her to talk to people about the nightmare, write about it, maybe draw pictures of what happens. other ways can be to take vitamins before sleeping, dont eat sugary foods before sleep, or have a pet or person sleep near you.

simple rituals can help too. try filling a glass of water before bedtime and setting it on your nightstand. then in the morning, pour it out with the hand you are not coordinated with. after that wash it out 3 times. repeat each night.

or, try one of those indian dreamcatcher thingies... it all comes down to mind over matter.

Tell your friend to remind herself to flutter her eyelids if she is having a nightmare that she wants to escape from. If she can remember to do this she will wake up right away.

Alternately, she could examine the content of her nightmares to discover the underlying issue(s) causing them. This information is never hidden - it is always available if we are willing to seek it out. Nightmares are always seeded by fear, and if we face that fear we can usually vanquish it.

Lucid dreaming requires a lot of confidence, and I think that alone would help with the nightmares.
